Hey Guys - anyone want to try and get as many as us together as we can, and take some photos about the massed SimHQ bunch?

Dunno how easy/hard it is to hook up, but if we can get half a dozen or so together it would be cool biggrin

Dont think of it as being vastly outnumbered ... but just having a large target selection.

I'd like to try... When are we aiming at doing this? I've only just started to dip my toe into this one.

Using a private group might be the only way to make it work. Though I haven't put a serious amount of effort into it, I haven't been able to figure those out yet. I can create one, but there doesn't appear to be any actual mechanism yet to invite my friends to join it.

Well if we all meet up, I'll be easy to pick out in a crowd. I'm the one with the cracked wind screen.
Did an emergency stop out of jump drive after I overshot my destination by couple of light years..

Their are consequences :-)

you just make a private group... name it something, then others can search for that group and request a join ... I have a group of about 10 people (all SimHQ'ers) and we had bash at doing a week or so ago( the night of komemiute's resurrection .. now there was a night ) ..there do seem to be a few bugs in the system, you still have some people getting stuck in other instances/shards

Thanks Tempus, that's exactly the opposite of what the groups design discussion claimed would be the case, so I never would have figured it out without a lot of hunting around.

I understand they are increasing the "island" (shard) size, at least temporarily. I'm up for it as well if the timing works out.

Of course, I did just now realize that I never introduced myself in the commander introductions thread, so I should go do that now. wink
