Well, Nigel Lamb won the race in Malaysia.
My personal favorite is Paul Bonhomme, who finished 5th in this particular race.

The "overall rating" has Hannes Arch as first, in the world standings right now.

But the race series isn't over yet.

I did notice they're using new aircraft this year, after a long hiatus since the fatal crash a few years ago.
I really do enjoy these races.

What is the number on your plane?..... biggrin

Seriously, I'd love to see that race in real life.
Been watching it since it started.

I just hope Bonhomme can stay ahead of my 'Arch' enemy.
I loved Austria when I was there, it's just something about Hannas, that rubs me.
Must be his personality....dunno. He seems to have lost some of his cockiness since I've last seen him before the crash that ended the series, a few years ago. Maybe he just grew up a little. wink

And I think Bonhomme has 'class'. Since I have 'none', it's a quality I admire...lol.

I also think he's just the best pilot, both Brits are very good.
Nigel Lamb comes off as a 'really' nice guy, IMHO.

The Americans aren't even in the running....so I've adopted the Brits biggrin

Hope you have a great time, I'd love to hear it IRL, and smell the smells.....your a lucky man smile
Enjoy yourself, I'll be watching.....

Thanks. smile Never been to one before so I really don't know what to expect. I also think it's the first time they have held it at that venue.

Murphy: Don't know about now but there was a whole bunch of Red Bull type mods and A/C for modded IL2.

One of the courses was really fun....and freakin hard.

No, I didn't know that Nixer. I would have liked to have tried it.
But my heart is in the WWII aircraft, and that theater.

Not that I wouldn't love to fly a Extra230/300 or whatever these new ones they now have......
Something I noticed. They have new aircraft now.
Like Extra 540's or something....don't know the designation, but they're new.

But Nixer....if I was going to steal an airplane....it'd be a P-51D. No doubt about it.... wink

Well NineLives, how did you like the race?
Did you get good seats?

I really....I mean REALLY liked that race. One of the MOST exciting races Red Bull ever put on, IMHO.
You never knew who was up and who was down.....and the two Brits got the top positions, I'm betting you were on your feet.... biggrin

I was..... wink
Arch got 'one' point....I'm betting that took the wind out of his sails....lol....

First race over land, also the first race from a standing start, it was great!
