The main ingredient is Budweiser beer, or, as it is known in the rest of the world, Horse pee.

I had a nice scotch egg the other day in San Diego. That brought back memories of home.

Horse meat can be very tasty though - it's almost like beef.
In the South of the Netherlands, and probably the area where Alicatt lives, they have this dish called 'sour meat' - originally made from horses that worked in the coal mines, stewed for hours in vinegar with some juniper berries to make it tender.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Oh, that poor, deceased cow who gave his her life for a meatpie and then was smothered in HP sauce... No cows were harmed in the making of these pies, but plenty of sheep sacrificed themselves to the taste buds of many a Scot You can get them with beef, but a proper scotch pie is made from mutton

Wow,I don't think I've had a Scotch pie since the late 70's when I was living in London for a few years.I just don't see them around here. I'd probably have HP sauce with it too if I could get any pies locally

I'll have to ask about that, but seeing as the mines are mainly closed now there are not that many pit ponies around any longer. Mutton and lamb is very difficult to get here and very, very, expensive too, I'm down to my last leg of lamb in the freezer until I get back home to Scotland and take some back here.

'Zoervleisj' in Limburgian, 'Zuurvlees' for those of us further up North. Not too many horses around, indeed. It can be made with beef, though.
