Hey All,

I am thinking I need a new camera. it has been acting funny all morning with weird colors in the pictures I took. the fact this thing is so old it has seen better days..

So I am thinking a new camera is in the works not a real extravagant one, I am mainly looking to take pictures of my setup when needed and pictures for ebay and such price under 130.00USD!!

I seen a nice one that was 16m and had a wide view. so I was wondering would something like that take real good pictures??

That is similar to mine. I've used it for almost three years or so. I've the Canon ELPH SD1100 IS. Great for a pocket camera. Acceptable macro for the close ups and video though I have not tried the video as yet. Will hold hundreds of photos with a large SD card. Canon is pretty good.

Wow Wingnut that is what I am looking for good quality pics like that.. no need to snap any new pictures but if your so inclined to want too I would love to see the 5.7L..

I had a Cannon that worked fine except zoomed in shots were always out of focus. I thought it was just me not holding it steady enough but after the warranty expired I did some testing with a tripod and found it was the camera. I explained to Canon that it had been defective since brand new but of course I only got spam for my effort. I had a Nikon and after returning from my once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand found that every picture was out of focus around the edges. They replaced the camera but I had to pay the shipping and wait a month. The warranty claim required a trouble ticket which required an email address which lead immediately to prolific spam informing me how wonderful Nikon was. I can't help but wonder how they figure that adding insult to injury to their customers is a good idea.

So, I recommend thoroughly testing your new camera as soon as you get it while you can still return it to the store. I like the models with two AA batteries. You can carry spare rechargeable batteries that are cheap and use alkaline batteries in a pinch. As long as it will fit in your pocket how small does it really need to be.

Yes as always test everything when getting new hardware to find any flaws.. Very good advice thnx Craigmire..

I do have a Fujifil s7000 which is giving up the ghost and that has served me well I am really likeing this Fujifilm.. need to cal B&H and ask a few technical questions will look on their questions thread and reviews tho..

yes Wingy I see you have treated her well.. 29,430miles looks like it just came off the showroom floor..

I thought 85k on my 13 yr old 4Runner was low! Of course, I've used mine for daily 30+ mile commutes during those years, so I could never be THAT low without having a 2nd car.

Well today I bought the Canon Powershot SX170.. it takes some really nice pictures I think it will do fine..

Samsung, Nikon coolpix, Sony cyber-shot are some good brands of digital Camera. You can chose any one according to your requirement and choice. As my personal view, Sony is the best brand for electronic things.
