I am watching and I can't believe it. Impressive to say the least... Wasn't this something like "98%" done about 2 months ago? Anyway, it's hard to tell, but is the -21 wearing a Dorsal mounted CFT in all those shots, or just a few? Put another way, was a CFT and option on this version of the 21 IRL, or was it a permanent modification.

It's got it in all the shots. Whether or not the spine is there was model specific, not airframe-by-airframe.
Anyway, the shots are all with EDGE now apparently, as they look so much nicer and that's not just a 3D mesh or texture.

I've been waiting for the 21 a lot longer than I've been waiting for the 86, and I also feel the 21 "fits" better with the current planeset, a 21 vs an F-15 for instance, and the rest of the DCS world. An F-86 can't really stand up to an SA-11 (nor can a 777 apparently...), so it's still in the same boat as the P-51D (which flew alongside F-86s in Korea anyway). I would LOVE a DCS: Korea with F-86s, Panthers, Yaks, MiGs, B-29s, B-50s, and all that. The only air war where jets and props served alongside each other pretty much equally. However, just the F-86 alone my interest is lesser. I'll still probably get it, but also because I think it will be a good foil for the 21! The Jedi Master

Its an era of ugly planes for me, they didn't know whether wanted a prop or a jet. If they did an A1 Skyraider, that would be an instant buy for even if it doesn't fit the modern setting.

Well, the issue was usually prop = slow, reliable, fuel efficient and jet = fast, high performance, short range, less robust against damage and wear.

Something similar, from the same era, is being built right now. But not American (nor Korean, Chinese or Russian). I'd like to tell more, but although the info is in the public domain, it's at a very early stage and I don't want to tread on any toes. Suffice to say it's carrier-based and a prop. There's also a 50's FGA jet aircraft pretty far along the line, too, but although it wasn't a Korean War vet, it was heavily involved in Suez, India-Pakistan and the Middle-Eastern conflicts of the day. Oh, and it looks gorgeous in DCS World! But we'll all just have to be patient. I can't wait! PS - forgot to mention - these would be freeware.

'Fraid not - that was '40's jet This is a single engined aircraft that was exported to 21 countries, and saw combat action as late as the end of the '80's. It was also used in at least two aerobatic teams That's it, though - no more clues. The dev says he's only done the externals up to now, including armament, but no work yet on the VC (which is intended to be a fully clickable cockpit), which is expected to take some time - especially as there is so little info available for freeware modellers. He's currently using an existing VC to fly the aircraft. Okay - one more clue, and if you don't get it from this, there's something wrong - it's still operated today by a middle-eastern country's air force. I can't give you a link - though it is available to view, it's in a 'registered members only' area.

No, it's the Hawker Hunter I can't tell you what the prop is - think post-war successor to the Seafire.
