Well, it has been a while since I last got off my backside to give you guys anything, but after waiting half a year for a replacement for my Sigma, I finally left the sofa and attended the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.

Sadly I got there a bit later than I intended, missing the Su-22 display to add to the disappointment of the F-35s not making it, but it was still a much better day than I anticipated.

Anyway, enjoy!

Great pictures! A great selection of aircraft, too. Too bad about the F-35s not making it.

Naunton Beauchamp Worcestershi...
Nice work; particularly impressed with the Red Arrows head-on.
One there 'no.4', don't know the type looks like it is being held together with black tape. Perhaps the glue hadn't dried in time for the show.

Picture #4 is a Saab 105O, and is wearing what I guess is a "Tiger Meet" livery.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words; I hear the F-35 will be coming in 2015, so maybe I'll get some better luck then*!

(*I just need to wake up at 5am...)

The Fitters,..just as expected,..loud, low, fast,..ish, and 8 miles to come back for another pass. They were glorious. Cold war heavy metal.
