Anyone have a suggestion on the best wrapper. I'm currently using NGlide 1.03 but constant crashing and freezing during the training missions. Using the exe from http://www.bms4.com/share/LB2-WinVista-7-Fix.exe. It was very painless and did load right up, but I think the wrapper is causing it to crash because when I uninstalled the wrapper I was able to get through basic longbow training. Reinstalled wrapper, crash freeze crash. Maybe an older version will work better?

I'm using 1.03 as well, you tried messing about with the LB2cfg file, yes?

I just looked at that. Seems confusing. I didn't see a way to adjust the resolution and not even sure how to get it to work.

There is no installer for dgVoodoo beacuse you can copy its dlls anywhere
you want (to use). If u like it and want to use as the only global Glide
wrapper on your machine then copy them to the system folder.

Ehhh, not sure I wanna be messing with DLLs right after I got it working. Is this thing for advanced users only or am I just not doing something simple?

Got DGVoodo working, with a couple small glitches. At one point through the training mission it went to windowed mode, and at the end of the mission, froze, went black screen. It did however give me credit for the training mission though so its not that bad a glitch.

In the past, people had most success with the dgVoodoo glide wrapper. However, with the latest hardware, nGlide is the new champion.

There really isn't any ONE glide wrapper that works for everyone. I think I had most success with the latest 'old' version of dgVoodoo, v1.50 Beta2. I really don't remember. All I know is that the new versions of dgVoodoo, such as v2.32, I could never get to work with LB2.

Glide wrappers are incredibly easy to use, for all intents and purposes, whatever you get in a ZIP archive, you only need TWO files... GLIDE2X.DLL and XXXX.EXE. The DLL file is the actual file the game uses, and the associated EXE file is simply the configurator that allows you to adjust things like screen resolution, etc. Both files can be placed in the game folder so that only that games uses them... this method is known as 'local' installation. A 'global' installation is when you place those files in the '.../Windows/System32' folder so that the PC effectively sees the wrapper as a separate hardware graphics device which can be selected for use by (theoretically) any application or game that uses 3DFX installed on your PC.

Ohh really? I found it on youtube, link below:

I am having great success with the DGVoodo wrapper. It still snaps to windowed mode halfway through, however I figured out to get around that by using ALT/ENTER to snap it back to full screen. Unfortunately the screen still goes black at the end of every mission, HOWEVER it does give me credit for the mission but during campaign mode this will become annoying so I have to figure that out before I start a campaign. But no more freezing, crashing, running at high res, the black screen is now my only issue. Thanks for the suggestion Punisher!
