I don't think any of them are really very concerned.

'Who' is going to 'DO' anything about it?

The people with morals, courage, 'and' authority, are long gone.......
What we have left, is a circus.

Just watch the clowns dance around......for attention.

In Russia....they simply don't care anymore.
Nobody will do anything about it.

Politicians will get free air time.
The U.S. is impotent, we can't even keep our own borders secure.

Good thing it wasn't a Chinese or Israeli airliner.... wink
The people responsible would all be dead in a month.

Yep on tiresome. Nope on Nuke Moscow.

The powers that be in Moscow are starting to believe that bs they have been spewing on tv for the past decade. And their version of ultra conservatives have gained quite a bit of traction as of late. A lot of Russian might makes right.

Ya, not so much in reality. Tearing down all sorts of mutually beneficial things with both Europe and North America. GOOD JOB!..

What a tragedy, and what a terrible past few months for Malaysia.

Putin says:

"This tragedy would not have happened, if there had been peace on that land, or in any case, if military operations in southeastern Ukraine had not been renewed,"....."And without a doubt the government of the territory on which it happened bears responsibility for this frightening tragedy."

What a worthless piece of human garbage. I renew my calls for a nope strike on Moscow. General principle demands it.

I dunno, Murphy. Our CiC might send a strongly worded apology to the Russians.

how civilian planes are even allowed to fly over a country in war? that's insane!

"ladies and gentlemen, we are actually flying over a war zone, if you happen to notice some trails [of missiles] going our way, please contact the pilot asap'...

Why the heck would any civilian plane fly over a war zone. Yes it's akin to blaming a woman for wearing a miniskirt and getting raped but still, why would an airline think it safe to fly over that country over there that's full of nuts...

That'll learn 'em.

Chris, you're going to push this thread into the PWEC forum.

Lets just stick to the facts, at least as you see them, and the 'news'.

Oh, my heads spinning.

And again.

Might be a reason they grabbed the boxes so damn quick, if they were diverted.

Here's some trivia, Planes first flight, 7/17/1997, exactly 17 years to the day. Local time down right around 17:17.

She did it,

Its not the WHOLE county fighting. Its just a vary small area really in the far eastern bit that borders Russia.

Its really a bunch of hind sight. Although there where some warnings really this past week. EI..the Russians shooting down a Ukrainian SU25 in Ukraine. And of course some manpads or something shooting down some low flying aircraft.

For the most part the fighting has been small arms and then recently a bunch of artillery and rocket artillery. Mixed in with APC's and tanks now and then. Its not the whole country battling it out.

I saw a list of flights in the area at the time of this shoot down. Might want to consider never flying with those air lines...

Or think of it this way... If like New York state where shooting each other would you not fly over California? I probably would not. And flying RIGHT over the dang area where things where happening probably was not the brightest idea ever... but no one was forbidding it to happen... Like now.

edit I take that back...

The US forbid US airlines to do it...

Um, No offense, but you're referencing "beforeitsnews"?

Here's some other headlines from "beforeitsnews", just for context's sake.

"UFO Mothership Over Brazil Dropping Spheres"
"Is Bigfoot Possibly an Alien Entity?"
"Edward Snowden Uncovers The Truth Behind Chemtrails"
"HAARP Deep Freeze Attack Upon America"
"The Ghost Of Elvis Presley, Does The Ghost Of Elvis Still Haunt Graceland?"
"Is The Loch Ness Monster A Dinosaur Ghost?"

Do your credibility (and your sanity) a favour and never read that website again.

Credibility on a game forum? Don't take yourself soo seriously bud. It was linked to the original Russian source, and besides a second source is provided.

There's a reason the boxes were grabbed by Moscow, publicly. If they were involved and knowingly behind it, you can bet they'd already be sitting alongside 370's box with the Russians saying 'Nayet'.

This article claims no fly zone up to FL320. 777 was flying FL330....

IMHO based on knowledge from SAM SIM, that SA-11 commander made a horrible choice...signature of airliner at FL330 is mighty different than SU25 or AN26...

Yeah, you're right. Who am I to dismiss beforeitsnews? Maybe these things are all interconnected? Maybe it was the ghost of the loch ness monster that brought down the plane!

Its a horrible thing, but its a war zone, sh*t happens. The best of the best screw up, assuming that insurgents did this then risks are greater of mistakes happening. After all, how many fratricides did we do in OIF? Then there is the shoot down incident in the Gulf. Mistakes happen in war. On a related note, why were they still flying civilian aircraft in the area after that Ukrainian military transport was shot down at similar altitude some days ago? That surely would have been a warning bell, right?
