hehe you're thinking too much like an atmospheric pilot.
Remember that you can turn to face your opponent while still heading in the other direction. It's Newtonian physics. So map yaw and lateral thrust to your rudders/coolie hat to make things easier. Once you get the hang of it you can knife fight the last two pretty easy.
Also you're forgetting to transfer power to guns. Noticed you were giving engines the full 4 pips to afterburn away but you kept forgetting to transfer power back to full guns... especially when you had them lined up nicely. And you actually ran out of power at one point cos you only had one pip in weapons.
Load up Mission 1 and try to circle strafe an asteroid, keeping the asteroid in your gun sights to get the feel of space flight. Just remember that unlike helis, you need to apply yaw and opposite lateral thrust, not roll.
I've lost count of the amount of hours I learnt to fly the Blackshark just trying to master circle strafing a chimney in DCS:BS but it paid off. The same principles apply here.. and then some.
