You should try it!...there is ground for tactical discussions there!

It is not the perfect tactical game yet, however we can be 2 or 3 per tanks. For example, the canons and the machines guns of the M3 Lee are usable in 3 different slots

Situation increasing the need for coordination within the unit as in SBproPE.

For those who likes stealth and sniping, it is the perfect opportunity.

To sum up my experience, it is a battlefield 1942 improvement on much bigger maps, better graphics without the "stolen tank" frustration.

It is still a Beta, to be continued.

I would totally play an SP game like this, where there is a strategic/operational layer with battles decided by tactical snapshots of the larger situation. Alas, still waiting for that, but glad that there's something similar for the MP folks.

I am trying to make a similar system for Iron Front, but needless to say, that's going to take some time!

Iron Front could be so much better.

Please, keep going we need a real tactical WWII MMOCASS or MMOSS.

I agree with Gunny, I've played H&G and while it is a fun game, I couldn't help feeling that Ironfront in the same format would be so much better.

Nothing that I do is really MP compatible; I make use of standard BIS High Command modules, and those are completely SP. Also, MP for Iron Front has become a little harder because of GameSpy's demise.

Also, could you possibly translate your acronyms? Pardon my lack of knowledge in these matters, but apart from the letters MMO, neither MMOCASS nor MMOSS convey their total meaning to me.

Picked this up over the weekend and play the hell out of it. This is what Red Orchestra 2 should have been IMHO. I even put some money in to unlock some guns which is something I NEVER do for a f2p game. My only complaint is that the game seems very pay to win but it doesnt break the game. I dont feel like my default gun is worse than the other stuff it is just not as interesting as some of the higher tier stuff.

Also picked this up over the weekend. Enjoyable, and you don't need to buy anything to still be competitive. The aircraft seem a bit overpowered (as appears to be the case with most online sims). They fly around with relative impunity and very very low which allowed me to kill two of them with panzerfausts. I think a minimum bombing altitude (or otherwise caught in ownship bomb blast) would help a lot. They don't appear to suffer any from doing so now.

My major complaint is that you can't change loadouts after the server searching, make a match screen is displayed. It has been frustrating because I have to guess at the appropriate load out for the next map. Carrying a bazooka only allows you to have a pistol, which is OK, but it sucks badly to find out there are no tanks on the map you end up on. So stuck with a pistol and rocket launcher with limited expensive ammunition. I think it would be better to be allowed one load out change during a round so you could tailor your equipment to the present threat.

Some of the maps once past the 'Level 3" minimum are quite huge and present interesting challenges.
Destructable objects like in BF4 would be marvelous!

Some corrections. You can change kit during a round, but it's a bit clunky. You have to quit the round, make changes to weapons/equipment and then back at main interface screen, you hit the LAUNCH button to reenter tthe round you just left. Not the most elegant or intuitive solution.

A wart. Scoring can be spotty. Got three armor kills (complete with 'kill' message for each) but none showed up in final tally. Not that I'm a points hog, but it gives credits worth weapons upgrades/etc.

It is a beta so still work in progress. Sure wish it had some sort of VOIP in game.
