If by that statement you mean "cricket is at least as exciting as baseball, like watching coding or system admins hunt for a faulty switch port", then I agree.

Cycling...a spectator sport???

One good thing I've gotten from watching all this soccer lately...

It made watching a little golf yesterday seem almost exciting.

Just like autoracing. For some reason, millions of people watch NASCAR. And they PREFER the oval tracks to the road courses. screwy

Competitive cycling is an awesome sport, but maybe not so much to watch. If I hadn't competed before, I probably would be bored to tears. Don't really follow it anymore. But if a mtn stage is on TV, I do like to watch.

I like watching for the scenery and the little tidbits of info the announcer comes up with.

Wasn't impressed by the English spectators crowding the road the way they did yesterday.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

LOL! As if there isn't any shady stuff going on in F1 !

The laughable garbage going on years ago put me off actually following modern F1. Big respect for the drivers and engineers to make these things go fast...but the team orders... hidden software, highly suspect team orders...very cozy relations between team bosses and Bernie and TV contract people... pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Same goes for cycling... They have team radios, they have to let go the first driver of the team after doing all the effort if he's a bigger name than them, it's slow, nothing happens until someone go down... Nah, really, I think I hadn't watched anything more boring than this on TV.

Hopefully, Sunday is MotoGP day!

No the team gets their sprinter up to the front for the finish, best climber to the mountain checkpoints for points. Watching them fight up climbs and trying to break away from the peloton is good watching.

I guess you must have to be/have been a cyclist to understand.
