Drop- assignment night at the end of Phase 3 UPT - the night that you get your aircraft and assignment

All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

Lol sorry didn't want to make the wrong impression, not UPT, tho hoping to go there in a couple of years, UCT, undergraduate combat systems officer training, think combination and generic WSO, EWO, and NAV training. The Air Force shifted it all to Pensacola a few years ago thinking it would be joint with the navy but that never happened. WSO training has been here for good long while.

Edited first post to hopefully clarify that.

Ah, okay. Was a little confused. Saw Pensacola mentioned, but then there is a picture of an F-15. So you're Air Force and going to be a GIB in Eagles? Congrats.

I've often said that I would have rather flown back seat in a Tomcat than be a pilot in a P-3.

Awesome stuff- you're going to love it for sure.

Congrats Klar. I envy your job. It was something I grew up around at various Air Force bases, the smell of kerosene and the swagger of jet jocks coming and going. However, not having 20/20, I found out I would be dis-qualified to be a pilot(back in the pre-lasik days), I was semi-heart broken. But that's when I was 16 and the Army began showing it's Be All You Can Be commercials....those were the days. Whether you're a pilot or WSO, it's still a cool job and as others have pointed out, before you know it, you'll wonder where the time went. I am already reaching that point in life too. It'll be a great ride.

Matt
