I logged back in and tried my Cat A1 for 1 drop.

Loadout:
280xl
normal structure/shs
6 lrm5
10 tons of ammo
ams
2 jj
max armor down 3 on each leg

I dropped in canyons and was able to do just over 200 dmg with 2 kills. I can see in a rush this thing would get hammered but in the standoff battles we are seeing at times it is pretty nasty. The rain of 5s if it gets through shreds armor.

Yes there is something magical about the LRM 5 - tighter grouping and more concentrated damage. I've got a bunch of mechs where I'm running 2 to 4 LRM5 on them rather than a single large launcher.

I built a Highlander 733 with 4 ALRM5 and 2 Lrg laser - seems like a weak build for a HGN but those rapid firing LRM just whittle them down quickly.

That recharge time on the LRM 5 is REALLY nice.
I'll be on tonight if anyone else is up for it. Maybe TS won't crap out on us again.
