Guns of August - Barbara Tuchman

Survivors: The animals and plants that time has left behind by Richard Fortey. Started it long time ago, now I'm going to finish it. Mr Fortey writes great books, but you must stay focused all the time.

Just finished The Hunt for Red October again. Not surprisingly, I loved it (again). On to Patriot Games.

"Mes Oiseaux de Feu" (Firebirds) by Charles Demoulin, the autobiography of a Belgian pilot in the RAF. It was the first aviation book I ever read, when I was around 7 or 8, and I really enjoyed re-reading it now!

I think I'll go back to John LeCarré after this.

"Shooter", "Papillon" and "I Sank the Bismarck."

Tell a little about "Papillon." Is this the same as the movie with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman?

Yes, much better than the movie and I liked the movie. He has a follow on book too that I must read.

About halfway through The Kill Box by Chris Stewart and next up is Punk's Wing by Ward Carroll.

Also went through a few programming books

Make sure you read Punk's War before Punk's Wing. It will set the stage for you.
