Ah ok, ok.

It's just that I'm really nervous about the 1.30...

Nervous as in "I need that drug", but also as I'm scared.

What if my PC will not hold that load?
Reality is I know nothing about what's involved in the new rendering.

So many things could be broken.

I'm just pessimistic so whatever happens I'm not deluded.

If you can't handle it you can't handle it. Other people will be in the same boat and you can always see improvement (whether that be your machine or their software).

Who wants to try this one out with me this weekend?

Eno's Triple EH:

Situation:

A number of mobility troops of special forces have been working hard to infiltrate an area saturated by AAA. The reason why is WAY beyond our pay grade so let's not fuss over the details. Suffice to say they've managed to get the DREDs attention.

They have reportedly been in contact and all have since dropped off the grid. There's only one way to get at them and that's by chopper- but there's only one way to get the choppers even close and that's to cover with the Hogs and Frogs.

DREDS BRIEFING:

Listen up:

A few groups of enemy special forces have been roaming through our territory in a variety of different vehicle types and it's time we send a message. Ground forces have fanned out in previously contested territory now controlled by us in search of these renegades. We WILL find them and we WILL crush them.

Aircraft: Your job is to harrass and obstruct. Compromise the enemy in their mission by preventing them from being able to achieve it. Don't bother attacking their base- it is too heavily defended. Deal with them on our terms with the support of small pockets of ground forces and substantial AAA at your disposal.

Helicopters: Seek out opportunities to recover troops manning our AAA emplacements if they are destroyed in hopes that you may recover those positions (respawn). Directions will be given to your closest MASH unit. Be cautious of enemy ground units- they will be small in number but spread out and may strike without warning!

BLUE BRIEFING:

A low cloud cover has moved into the region and as a result we're going to be pushed to the edge of AAA range. Whichever platform you choose, you'll want to stay light. If you want to try bombing through the weather with JDAMs, please... by all means- But don't delay with a bunch of fancy footwork... Our boys need you!

AAA threats exist throughout the area... some platforms have been captured from our ranks during earlier conflicts so expect to see friendly "looking" vehicles on the ground shooting at you. 20mm, 23mm and SHILKA 4x23mm should be expected along with possible smaller arms fire near TIC.

Well we gave Eno's Triple Eh a go last night and didn't make it far before I realized I was going to have to go back to the drawing board. A few things didn't quite work out the way I wanted and I think I'll increase visibility a bit too.

Tried out "Do you see what a-f-a-c's" and I do like that mission concept but Mol brought up some valid points for the chopper guys. I'm going to put some FARP locations closer to the target area so they can get repaired and rearm etc while staying a bit closer to the action.

I've also got to check whether the enemy infantry is spawning in where they should- Part the fun was to drop a few armloads of troops in the woods and let them duke it out while the hueys support them... The ZSU23s keep everyone at bay and the SA13 worked everyone over old school. Well- me anyway.

I had to step out a bit prematurely so I apologize for that. I have a day to myself today so hoping to adjust Triple Eh and AFAC.

MIST got updated as well and I think Grimes is looking under the hood in SLMOD as well so I'm hoping that contributes to stability.

Good run on DUCWAFACs earlier- figured out what was wrong with the infantry that was supposed to keep the huey's busy... I didn't have them added for some reason.

Still having some issues with the SAR script spawning blue troops as survivors of DRED vehicles... not a game ender but still a bit inconvenient when we want to go and burn the place down and kill a bunch of friendlies.

I went back in tacview and saw that we had cleared everything except the dog ear- but that wasn't in the zone. In theory that should have ended the mission however the non-spawning infantry would prevent that. Good cooperation from everyone involved- had a blast.

Then loaded Korn on the Kobuleti... in its new modified version and it is intense but even the HQ strategy I had (bombing a comms center spawns a defensive group for blue) didn't work. I'll have to look under the hood again.

Had a few guys from outside SimHQ- I wasn't sure about them but they worked well together. The action was pretty intense down low mingling with AAA and all the vehicle guns. Those bmp3s are ridiculous and I can consistently see them firing more accurately than the shilkas. Hope that gets adjusted in the next patch. Cough.

Anyway... good times!

Afac was fun but I didn't realize the air assault troopers could not swim I wasted a load there.

Raptor was on jtac and was telling exactly where to put the troops witch help him formulate a assault. Kinda cool I thought.

Going to start trying to ease dynamic weather back into a few missions to see how it works out.

Also... Seems people somehow developed this idea that changing weapons loadouts to various aircraft is okay... and it definitely is- but not in the Firehouse.

Those of you who have gone in and changed any of the script database luas for particular aircraft likely won't pass through the Integrity Check.

Ran a couple missions with dynamic weather- got some good feedback. No impact on performance and a good increase of immersion.

I noticed Killbox got put up last night but we're still getting crashes with that so we'll need to keep it out of the loop for now.

I might rebuild it, however... since that concept has been a favourite. I'm going on nights this next tour so I'll have some time to build it. Maybe even get started now since I have a few hours to kill!

Crashes in SP as well during testing unfortunately. I've had that one submitted for a long, long time.

I'm unable to join the hole point server, I keep getting connection interrupted and I'm at 2048.

Integrity check failing perhaps? Any mods? Banned? All possibilities I suppose.

Hi Mastiff,

Do try to join again. If you still cannot, please PM me.

The Hollo Pointe server may have been off-line most of the day yesterday with a windows update and auto-reboot.

Most of you probably know about the 24 hour flash sale up to 70% off- if not go check it out. Great time to purchase that module you've been humming and hawing over.

OK - stupid question, but I don't own the F-15C beta OR FC3 (I had beta access but never bought it..duh..).. I see the F-15C module is $17.49 and FC3 is $14.99. So it makes more sense to buy FC3 since that includes the F-15C and eventually a few others right? What is the advantage to buying the individual aircraft modules instead of the FC3 version (I have FC2..so is that a prerequisite?)..

I would buy FC3, not sure there is an advantage to buying the individual ones right now.

Nothing is needed for FC3 anymore either... you dont need an older version.
