If you were a fan of Sid Meier's Gettysburg, you will love this. Just a joy to play and the graphics.... oh my.

This is really good: if properly completed, could be an excellent successor to Sid Meier's Gettysburg, which I used to play forever. The interface is very intuitive, needs a few more commands but the overall game looks to be very, very good.

Looks interesting. Seems a little fast paced to me, like it is condensing several hours worth of fighting into around 20 minutes but it looks pretty good. If they can get the feel for the battle right it could be a real winner.

Gonna keep an eye on this.

I'll be spending more time with it today but so far I'm not too thrilled. I don't like how the units look like cardboard cut outs and I think the pace of the battle is much too quick.

Look at 'Scourge of War-Gettysburg' from Matrix Games.

It is a couple of years old but may be more in line with what you are wanting. I played it some but haven't lately. My old laptop didn't run it well but I have a new one, might have to reinstall and try it again.

Graphics are a little out of date but the gameplay is fantastic. These guys have some add on battles that go with it as well. I haven't played those but they are on my to buy list in the near future.

Yeah, Scourge of War looks like fun. There's a link to the demo in the description of the video below. Show's how it looks from a third person command view. Kinda goofy players but show's some fun gameplay.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet.
I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.
