Question though, can commander names be changed whenever you want or is it a one time thing? Or like some other games/services where you have to pay a fee or only allowed after a certain time period. I know the beta probably does not have limits yet, but curious about full release.

WTF? Raw, all players are given the backer ID when first starting out. Go to the below link and select the commander area to change. https://support.orerve.net/Also I heard it may take a while to get it approved (might be faster now and automated) as the names were approved by an actual person (probe some poor intern).

Commander Prowler is heating up his engines. Or more like he is wondering whether the game is currently downloading in the background while the launcher is hiding in the taskbar. I am pretty sure there is no beer in that bar, what is he doing there?!?! Edit: Looks like for unknown reasons Cmdr Prowler has no access to the launch pad. And seems like he is not the only one with this problem... Launcher problems Bad start...
