Shouldn't you be seeing it tomorrow?
This film isn't meant to be seen on Any Given Sunday.

Just back from seeing it and really liked it. I liked the look of the aliens and was good that the aliens didn't attack the US for once like they usually do, eh Hollywood?

and was good that the aliens didn't attack the US for once like they usually do, eh Hollywood? You speak as if this wasn't a Hollywood studio film. It is. Company Credits Production Co: Warner Bros., Village Roadshow Pictures,

I see your point. For sci-fi films at least, the great majority of them take place in the US or they take place in the US and other locations. It's very rare for a Hollywood sci-fi film to not take place at all in the US.

I love it when shows/movies are set in Europe and the like. That added a lot to Rosemary's Baby that was on recently, being set in Paris. The new 24 too.

Speaking of the new 24, my girlfriend got me to start watching it with her. Now mind you, I know NOTHING about 24 since I've not seen any of the previous seasons but I do have one question which I did ask my girlfriend but she didn't know the answer. Why does Chloe have that Goth appearance? That overdone eye liner is distracting as hell.

Chloe's a little weird and has some kind of personality disorder, but she's very bright. I don't know why she looks like that, she never did before, but I suspect she's pretty screwed in the head after her husband (Morris) and daughter were killed. She mentioned that to Jack after getting distracted and letting that girl get away in the 2nd episode.

If you'd seen 2 Guns or Agents of SHIELD you would've seen him sooner!
Oh, or that Big Love series he spent 5 years on.

I finally got to see this today! Really hard to escape the constant thoughts of the Groundhog Day "self improvement program" side of it, but it's not like one of those plots that's been overused in movies. Very good scifi, very enjoyable. Now I can read the book when I get to it and enjoy it even more.

From the trailer, I was thinking this took place over various time periods, something like Cloud Atlas, as well as the Groundhog Day thing. I was glad to see that wasn't the case. I like it a lot more the way it is. Well edited/written too, so the repeated days didn't get bothersome. Nice to see the squidies from The Matrix found some new work to do. LOL The way they eventually learn to use the mobile suit was reminiscent of the suit scenes in District 9. I'll own this when it comes out on blu-ray.

I think it also had a "District 9" vibe to it. Can't really place my finger on it. My wife hated it so of course I loved it. LOL Something about the Master Sarges uniform, kind of early 80's Does she hate all scifi or mostly just the military themed scifi?
