My dad's brother had a reel to reel. What a PITA to use that was.

My great grandmother had a gramaphone player, but she could never find the gramaphones to play on it.

Actually no......we did play a few Beatles tunes but were more into the Stones.....I even used to stick my cigarette onto the string ends of my strat

When the toys you played with as a kid become sought after collector's items, particularly when you realize than many of said collectors were born later than the items they're seeking...

When you have aches and pains in more places than you remember, only to be reminded before you forget again.

Nothing like pulling your back out by TURNING AROUND.

I still have my 20/10 vision and a full head of hair. I'm more than satisfied with having those things.

My right knee hurts, but only when going up or down stairs. I can live with it.

That's a big one for me. When I was a teen/early 20-something I had a friend that listened to nothing but oldies. When he drove it was the only station he tuned in and to this day I still can't stand Rockin' Robin. I didn't care for a lot of the oldies.

But the last few years when I hear Led zeppelin or Yes, I'm reminded of how much I couldn't stand the oldies and wonder if many of the kids today feel the same way.

Funny thing about the oldie station where I live; they have the same DJs that were playing in the early 80s.


On another forum I frequent there's a huge age gap between many of the members. There's a good handful of older folks but there's a plethora of early 20s. We have a RATE THE SONG ABOVE YOU topic and almost all the kids pan the older folks music, while the same holds true for the reverse. Frankly I can't get past the first few bars before I turn the song off. I'm getting like my dad. Aaarrrrrrrgh......


And ear hair.

Oh Jezus! There was a high school talent show one year and almost every band played several Beatles song. It's hard to be in the audience and clap enthusiastically after hearing Hey Jude for the fourth time.

You know you're old when hair grows down the back of your neck, in your ears, out of your nostrils but not on the top of your head!!!

My wife is 3 years younger than me and she hasn't seen SW or ST. When one of them is on while flipping channels she'll pause and ask me what's going on and about 2 sentences into the explanation she changes channels
