...following a QC where I've been working on getting FaceTrack to do what I want. Since Olham's considering a challenge with few if any aids, I decided to see if I could find an airfield and land my Halb D.II.

Well, I did find an aerodrome...

But first I was coming in too low, so I had to jump and skip over two fences.

We won't even talk about my approach angle.

And I nearly parked in somebody's house.



This could be fun. eek2

Yes, girls LOVE to meet aviators!

For better landings without any aids, you could circle an unknown field at least once
at low altitude, to check the windsock and the fences.

Does the windsock even matter? I just always land going to the west, as do my A.I. wingmen, and we always take off that way, never seems to make a difference. I tried to see if it really changed position when I first started flying, but I couldn't tell. Now I don't even look anymore...

The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...

Well done CatKnight. Like Olham, I usually do a flyover on an unfamiliar field to scope for fences mostly. If I make any error on landings, I tend to come in with too much speed so sometimes I kill the engine right before I get to the landing spot and just glide right in.
