We used to climb cranes on the sides of buildings in the CBD in Darwin at night, as teenagers, all the way out onto the end of the boom. We also climbed the 'giraffe'on the wharf and took the lightning rod as a trophy. We never hung off and did 'tricks' although sometimes you were out in space as such hanging of things ..just climbed and then sat and checked out the views.
I know a bit about climbing and know some very good climbers. They will all tell you that there's a world of difference between taking a calculated risk and playing with your life.
