My pilot was flying a quiet mission in the Alsace Colmar area very far behind the German lines almost to the edge of the map. Interesting terrain back there. I was curious..what is actually "out there" off the visible map edge? Didn't want to lose my pilot so I didn't explore.

Does WOFF CTD or do you wind up in Switzerland!?

You can fly to Switzerland or even to northern Italy.
Not sure where the map ends, but as long as you see terrain with towns...
I have once flown to Nizza and Cannes - nice there!

That's true. Last week at breakfast he told the waitress he wanted his eggs "south by southwest".

In CFS3 you hit an invisible barrier and are told in a message that you're leaving the combat area and you should turn around. You can see into the distance but everything is just a featureless repeating terrain texture pattern copied from the last bit of the edge of the populated world. Depending on where you are, there is also an abrupt elevation change at the edge of the world.

Well, THAT was something different then - had you seen her low neckline?
I was talking about something else - not the breakfast eggs. biggrin

Ahhh, yes, Gretchen. The Swiss Alps don't have valleys that deep.

But seriously, Herr Olham, you're much too superficial. I paid no notice whatsoever to her neckline. My interests lie beyond things like the clothing a woman wears. About 1/8 inch (.3cm) beyond it. wacky

I'm 60 years old. I haven't got time for patience.

And before you comment on my being 60 I will repeat what my dear old pappy used to say, "There may be snow on the roof but there's still a fire in the furnace."
