Yes B17-2 is excellent and far and away the best WW2 heavy bomber sim. Just putting heavy bombers in a flightsim only goes so far, as CFS3 shows.
The spectacle of 18 Forts forming up as they circle the base in the English morning air is worth the price of admission. I especially like the way the sim models navigation, simolified yes but's a nice skill to try to get visual fixes thru the cloud, and drag your plane icon on the map to where you think you really are. Great the way the 3d world matches the map so well, so you can do this quite well. Also like the Norden, another great experience, sweaty palm stuff as you concentrate to bring the whole formation in onto the tgt while the flak bangs and hammers viciously all around, and crewmembers cry out with reports of damage, fires or injuries. As you say, it's an awesome experience.
