Hi

I am new to DCS World although really old when it comes to flight simming.

I would like to fly the DCS A-10C and re-learn from there, but I have a problem.

I am using HELIOS and a second touch screen monitor as an instrument panel. It worked fine (regarding fps performance), until I tried to run it with 1.2.7 a couple of days ago, with Loz SM V2.1.
I noticed that none of the prevously exported information worked. So I updated the MONITOR SETUP, deleting the ED_A10C_ prefix for the exported instruments, but it only works with the right and left MFD, no with RWR, UHF COMM repeater, clock, nor CMSC anymore.
Besides that, I also noticed that the fuel and engine monitor panel dissapear some times, for instance when pressing UP the MIC BUTTON of the TM HOTAS Warthog.

This is the actual monitor configuration file, before removing the ED_A10C_ prefix of both MFD:

_ = function(p) return p; end;
name = _('EXTERNAL INSTRUMENT PANEL');
Description = 'Uses a second 1920x1080 LG 23ET83 monitor as an instrument panel'
Viewports =
{
Center =
{
x = 0;
y = 0;
width = 2560;
height = 1600;
viewDx = 0;
viewDy = 0;
aspect = 1.6;
}
}

ED_A10C_RIGHT_MFCD =
{
x = 3968;
y = 120;
width = 445;
height = 445;
}

ED_A10C_LEFT_MFCD =
{
x = 2625;
y = 120;
width = 445;
height = 445;
}

ED_A10C_UHF_REPEATER =
{
x = 3214;
y = 701;
width = 114;
height = 25;
}

ED_A10C_CLOCK =
{
x = 3038;
y = 825;
width = 126;
height = 126;
}

ED_A10C_CMSC =
{
x = 3416;
y = 138;
width = 228;
height = 52;
}

ED_A10C_RWR =
{
x = 3158;
y = 161;
width = 181;
height = 181;
}

GUI =
{
x = 0;
y = 0;
width = 2560;
height = 1600;
}

UIMainView = GUI

On the other hand, when selecting a second monitor option on the DCS options,visual performance really decays until flying becomes really difficult. I already checked it and I believe it is a DCS problem, not HELIOS.

I have a high-end computer, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3930K CPU @ 3.20GHz 6 cores, two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 on SLI, both monitors plugged to the same video card, Windows 7 Professional 64, 64 Gb of RAM, solid state HD for OS and 1 TB HD for aplication istalations.

I do not know what to do to fix those problems
I would appreciate your help
Thank you

Hey GADGET,

Just saw this post and see you have had similar problems as me with using HELIOS after the recent patches.

Not sure if you have resolved your problems but if you take a look over here - DCS Forums, this will give you a full overview of what you need to do to get things working again.

It took me a while but I'm now back to having all my instruments exported to a 4th monitor ( i run 3 screens under eyefinity with a 4th touch screen to export the instruments and have HELIOS running... works a treat! )

Basically if you run easy monitor configurator that will get the exports working again.

This is my monitor.lua.

_ = function(p) return p; end;
name = _('EMC');
Description = 'EMC Config'
Viewports =
{
Center =
{
x = 0;
y = 0;
width = 5040;
height = 1050;
viewDx = 0;
viewDy = 0;
aspect = 4.8;
}
}

ED_A10C_RIGHT_MFCD =
{
x = 6362;
y = 4;
width = 370;
height = 380;
}

ED_A10C_LEFT_MFCD =
{
x = 5036;
y = 0;
width = 370;
height = 380;
}

ED_A10C_UHF_PRESET_CHANNEL =
{
x = 5693;
y = 466;
width = 30;
height = 27;
}

ED_A10C_UHF_FREQUENCY_STATUS =
{
x = 5609;
y = 671;
width = 120;
height = 33;
}

ED_A10C_UHF_REPEATER =
{
x = 5599;
y = 540;
width = 110;
height = 28;
}

ED_A10C_CLOCK =
{
x = 5456;
y = 809;
width = 100;
height = 100;
}

ED_A10C_CMSP =
{
x = 5980;
y = 182;
width = 236;
height = 47;
}

ED_A10C_CMSC =
{
x = 5784;
y = 105;
width = 215;
height = 45;
}

ED_A10C_RWR =
{
x = 5490;
y = 152;
width = 200;
height = 200;
}

CDU_EXPORT =
{
x = 6378;
y = 804;
width = 280;
height = 180;
}

UIMainView = Viewports.Center

Also the part of Loz's profile that disappears, its meant to. He did it so you would have a space for the radio commands to be moved to, so using peterp's mod you can use the touch screen to select the radio commands.
