All,

We are happy to announce that the 476th will be opening recruitment for class 14-01 on Friday 3rd January. For this class we have capacity to take two pilots flying during European evenings and three pilots flying during US (Eastern) evenings.

Interviews for class 14-01 will take place between Saturday 4th January and Saturday 11th January, with successful applicants being notified no later than Sunday 12th January.

Training for class 14-01 will begin during the week beginning Monday 13th January, and is expected to be completed to later than early April with trainees flying at least one formal training flight per week. Anyone applying should check that they are able to fully commit to training before submitting an application.

A little about the 476th vFG can be found here.

Full details of our recruitment process can be found here.

Further details of our training process can be found here.

Respectively,
476th vFG Command Staff

Man...I wish I had the time to do this and do it right. In a few years when I get a man-cave built and I can set aside the time I'll be in line to sign up. No way I can do it right now with a 3-year old tugging on my elbow all the time.. wink

We'll save you a spot Beach, although nothing is certain I've got a good feeling we'll still be around! We've got a lot of ideas for both internal training and providing public training events (if we ever see Nevada :D).

We've already started discussing our internal training and how it will be completely redone when we adopt a trainer aircraft (like say the VEAO Hawk).

FYI...We've reached the max number of US applications so we are now only accepting applications for the European Class, all other applicants will be rejected.

Sounds good. Nevada is going to awesome. I've spent a lot of time out there in the Panamint Valley (I've taken about seven trips to the area for various hiking trips) and its always thrilling to see the F-16s and F-18s screaming down the valleys out there. It is really, really awesome. Never did see an A-10 out there though..

Anyway - a true bombing/strafe range with scoring rings in the Nevada theater is going to be so much fun. Good luck with the recruitment and training..

Hey Snoopy

Glad to see you guys are still around. I used to fly a bit with you guys when you were still with the 25th. Anyways I will keep an eye on this thread since I have picked A-10 up again.

Ahh CLOD never in the history of Simming has so much been promised and so little given.

However I want to thank Team Fusion for keeping the Dream Alive.

Damn. If I had a man-cave and predictable schedule I'd enjoy doing this. I hope you guys are still around when my 4-year old decides he doesn't want anything to do with Daddy anymore. (I love him to death though..and do not wish him to grow up any faster than he already is!). Heck, maybe at some point we can have a father/son team joining up... <G>

Good luck with the new class. I'm jealous..

The 476th has opened up recruiting for our next class. We're primarily looking for pilots on the US side but may take a couple from the Euro time zone as well. More details can be found here

PS - And its only been 2.5 years and we've got NTTR and the F/A-18 on the way.
