"The project cost 140 million pounds", that sound quite cheap. cos its only part funded by the government, which means its in BAEs interests to keep the price down!

I've always been into stealth/ultra-modern, but I find technology and speculation of the 1980s far more interesting than today's reality and future predictions. From F-117s in the Gulf, to Craig Thomas and Tom Clancy fiction (especially Cold War scenarios), I've lost all interest in today's modern aircraft (F-22, F-35, UAVs).
Agreed. Perfection has no soul.

Taran = THUNDER !
The reconstructed Proto-Celtic form of the name is *Toranos "thunder". In present day Welsh taranu and taran means 'to thunder' and 'thunder' (tarani and taran in Breton), and in present day Irish Tarann means 'thunder'.

Present day Irish? Isn't that Gaelic or is it no longer called that? Can be called either Irish or Gaelic - Scots also have their own version of Gaelic too. We would never refer to it as Gaelic though, just Irish. Nate
