It's only a direct quote if you... well... directly quote. Their website says nothing along the lines of "we're not going to make our March 31st date." You totally made that part up.

I have never had any contact with any member of this MiG-21 project - not even Beczl, with whom I had some contact when he was releasing rocket pods for the Su-25T many years ago, and I did not take part in their kickstart.

The kickstart money obviously was spent to develop their project, we can see that from the screenshots, their project obviously was real, it was spent well and not wasted. That money is gone.

Any speculation about it is useless, if they don´t have the money to finish it, they won´t.

If they don´t have the skills to finish the code, they don´t.

If their MiG-21 does not go ahead, someone else may do it at a later date.

There was a disagreement, they will agree or not to continue, ED suspended their forum for reasons of their own.

Continuing with this discussion will only manage to offend someone at some point.

Only one thing, Beczl did mention paying back the Indiegogo backers.

I'd rather have the '21 than the £20, though.

the kickstart money is not a loan, but should be used to develop a product, if it fails, if failed, so long as the money was used to fund the work, it was well spent.

It was indeed stated by Beczl that, if he wouldn't be able to deliver the product, backers would be reimbursed for their expense. Unless you have strong evidence to the contrary, i find it unlikely that you would know better than Beczl himself.

So you think Beczl posted that info because everything was still on schedule and honky dory. Please now you are really reaching.

I know next to nothing about what has been said or not - if he promised to reimburse the kickstart funds, that is up to him to do it.

Pretty bad when someone has to quote that they are ignoring someone, kinda childish actually.

No. I did not say everything was hunky dory.

You said they weren't going to make the March 31st date. Then you said that that was a direct quote from their website. Nothing on the website says they are not going to make their release date. The information on the website does suggest the ability to meet the date is in question. But it does not state that they will not meet it. Therefore, what you posted was not a direct quote. It was you inferring something.

If you fail to understand that logic, then there is no point in further discussing this with you.

Seriously, guys? You'd think we were at the point where we have to decide who gets eaten first.

It can be disconcerting and upsetting and confusing to hear just the bits of the story that we're getting, and I know I'm anxious to learn more too, but that's sure no reason to be disrespectful to each other. Keep it calm and clean.

We'll know more when we know more.

We are still working on resolving this issue.

I can confirm that we are well within our development timeframe to release Mar 30th.

That is great news. Is all this a storm in a teacup from the customer point of view?
