Welcome back to the hobby! I would suggest that you download stock BMS and all 7 updates. I also suggest you download the Israel Theater 0.99 and patch, it's quite good. I've not tried any mods, so I can't speak to that. As for X52 profiles, I've attached mine. I like it, but you may want something different? I try to not rely on the SST software outside of programming the slider and changing the ministick and mouse button and instead rely on BMS and Direct X shifting. You lose the mode shifting but I think it is more reliable. Hopefully this gets you pointed in productive directions and I am sure more experienced hands will give you excellent advice.

http://www.benchmarksims.org the latest is 4.32 with 7 updates, definitely do a fresh install. There are also lots of resources for X-52 profiles there. The F4 manual isn't entirely worthless, but you'll want to read up on the included BMS manuals in the /Docs folder

I already have BMS 3.2, what mods should I get. Israel theatre, Balkans theatre, and Red Flag/Falcon Online if you want to do any PvP. The original Falcon 4.0 manual isn't useless in the sense that the theories taught in there (cornerspeed, CCIP/CCRP, ground radar, etc.) are still in use, but obviously the keystrokes/key combos may be different. There is a Dash-1 manual included in your BMS install and is a very useful read. Welcome back and good luck!

I have gone to the BMS website and I can't log in. I have registered in the past but no joy. It wont send me an email and I have re-registered and I still cant get a confirmation email either. What username did you try? I'll post about it in this thread where others mentioned similar issues.

I also had this some time ago and figured out, that this happens if you only Register but never write into the Forums. If you make one post this should not happen again. I registered already 3 times but now it still works. Hope this helps. Roland

Always used to have that problem. Setup your controllers again, get in a few flights to double-check, then exit the sim, go to your FalconBMS/user/config directory and make these two flies read-only: axismapping.dat and joystick.cal
Any messups from this time on would not affect your controller settings. Note that if you wish to change anything or if doing an update, you will want to disable read-only.
For me, my problem was that I use a TARGET profile when I fly. If I start BMS without starting up the TARGET profile, everything goes haywire. The trick above prevents this from happening, so I can start up the game without worry.
Hope that helps!

I recheked and it did not overwrite anything. I even took the copy I did yesterday and still won't work...
And it's not a Falcon4 problem as it's doing the same thing with DCS... so it's a Windows problem....
I tried with SST profile on/off, even closed SST but no changed
