With the latest great patch I have found myself flying the BE2c on many bombing raids. In fact I have been flight lead. This is great except, in the name of realism, I hate to open the TAC while flying and I don't follow the preplanned waypoints as I like to fly my own, safer route. The problem was that my flight would not bomb when we get to the airfield target.

Well I figured out how to fix that!

Before takeoff just open your TAC and set the waypoint at the TARGET airfield waypoint. This is usually the waypoint BEFORE your last waypoint (home). Then takeoff, let the girls form up, and off you go to the target any route you please. When you get there your wingman will pick targets and bomb without any help from you! After they bomb I do hit "R" to make them rejoin for the flight home but you don't have to open the TAC for that. I'm not sure how the AI picks what targets they are going to bomb but no big deal.

Now I just have to figure out HOW the hell they are so accurate from 6000 feet with those bombs?!? I just drop when they do! LOL!

Something to add.

You have to wait until you are in the air to advance the waypoint to the target waypoint. You cant do it on the ground.

So, it just comes to pressing Next waypoint until the one you need is selected?
What about if you're not the leader?

If I am not the leader then it is not my duty to navigate. I just let the leader take me where he wants to.

HOWEVER....you can still force him to go direct to the target waypoint after the takeoff with the same method. Just open TAC and next waypoint until target and close TAC. He should go direct then.

You can get the leader to go to each waypoint even if you are not in command of the flight, and you don't have to open the TAC to get him to go to next waypoint. Just press shift W each time you want him to change...

Yes but having the TAC open you can tell which waypoint you are telling him to go to. Remember you must leave it on the target waypoint in order to get the other aircraft to bomb.
