Of the planned aircraft for BOS, which are you looking forward to fying the most?

For me, its the HE111. Yea, its slow and lumbering but I always loved the looks of it and flying it in the exquiste detail of this sim, will be wonderful. My second, is the Stuka. A plane that I made a few plastic and balsa models of as a kid. Dive bombing should be challenging! Surviving, nearly impossible but thats were the challenge comes in.

What plane are you looking forward to most?

The IL2. I'm a ground attack guy. Love shooting rockets and firing cannons down low. Also love tailgunning. Also looking forward to the 111 as I love high alt bombing as well.

Ju 87 with a decent gunner.
Love the menacing looks.

I'm looking forward to flying the Jumo-engined LW crates (Ju87D-3 & He111H-6) that will have PROPER sounding engines. 777's record with RoF and BoS so far WRT sound production is superb, IMHO. I look to them to epicly surpass the genericness of the jumo engines in the original IL-2 as well as the CloD lawnmowers (He111H, Ju87B & Ju88A). Even if the Ju87D-3 sounds more or less like the one in the BoS trailer, I will be happy.

Cheers,

IL-2 for me also. Air-to-air is not my strength. & the Ground Attack elements of BoS Early Access look very promising - including no flying through trees.

I like the bombsight/procedure in ROF so I'm looking forward to the HE111 as well. I never got the hang of level bombing in il2 so I never flew the bombers much. In ROF it is a perfect blend of difficulty and gameplay so I hope that will carry over into Stalingrad. I hope there will be some bomber crew implementation as well, animations, crew small talk (dicey but could be cool), calling out targets, giving navigation instructions and maybe even an AI bombardier.

I've always liked multirole planes the most, the ones that are good at pounding mud but are decent enough to get some kills in the sky. The lumbering beasts like the 111 and 87 are ok, as are the fighter-only types, but I think the Il-2 will be my favorite because it can actually manage to take out some planes as opposed to the 87.

The Il-2 for me also. None of the other Russian aircraft really excite me that much. Mainly because the IL-2 was without equal during WWII in it's ground attack role. The other russian birds live in the shadow of their Allied counterparts.

I am also interested to see how the flight model handles bigger multi-engine birds as well, although I probably won't spend most of my time there.

Other than that, I don't imagine the other single engine fighters to be massively different to fly than the 109 and the Lagg, although I'm sure each will have their quirks.

PS: My answer above assumes this is the up-to date launch list:

LaGG-3 (series 29, VK105PF engine)
Bf 109 F-4
Yak-1 (M-105PF engine)
Bf 109 G-2
IL-2 (1942 year model, single-seat, AM-38 engine, VYa-23 cannons)
Ju 87 D-3
Pe-2 (series 87 and 110)
He 111 H-6
La-5 (with premium pre-order or separate purchase)
Fw-190 A-3 (with premium pre-order or separate purchase)

I'd love an Fw-190F or A-5, a P-47, a Typhoon...not for BoS I suppose, but in a later map expansion.

Not sure! Every time I think I know they go ahead and preview another plane, such as the Stuka, which ends up being breath taking. Perhaps the Peshka though, we shall see!
