Not sure, if the latest patch did it, or my own changes - however:
the performance of WOFF on my rig was so much improved in my last sortie, that everything went smooth as silk.


I'm running WOFF on a Windows 7 (32bit) system, and so I only have 3.48 GB of my 4 GB memory available for WOFF.
In my attempts before Christmas, I had crashes, or at least a not so smooth performance.
Nothing of that now - it was a sheer joy to fly it!

What I had done myself:

I had had "Terrain Detail" on "2" in "Workshop", but "Terrain Detail Textures" on "high".
Now I have chaged it to "Terrain Detail" on "3", but "Terrain Detail Textures" on "normal".
The landscape is looking marvellous still, and the performance is much increased.

Whatever did the trick - Patch 1.12, or my changes - I am really happy right now!

Not sure if you had tried the 1.11 patch before this one, but seems like most people got big improvement with it. The link.

Yep since 1.11 its much better. For me i have still some stutters but its now far better than before.

Okay, so it must have been the patch. Those guys work wonders!

I never installed Patch 1.11 - went right to Patch 1.12.
I hope that works the same?

Yes it does. You can patch from any version to the latest, as each patch contains all the fixins. 1.11 did have a few optimizations, though they didn't clarify what, exactly, but it really helped a lot of people out who were having stuttering issues.

I had a beast of a time with stuttering, jaggies and white tile triangles until patch 1.11. Fixed all my issues. Smooth as can be including Track IR. Even in 8 to 16x advancement.

Olham there is little difference between 2 and 4..so go for 4.
