I'm currently updating all the missions we have to include the newest medic and group joining scripts. Now i have a question for everyone, do you want the loadouts changed as well to the stuff i use in my missions? so black guns with scopes on, few grenades, pistols etc. Or do you want me to keep the loadouts at default? so you get chem lights and the like? and to the other mission makers .. do you actually want me to!?

Im leaving the group structures and player counts the same etc incase anyone asks smile

My only suggestion is maybe 2 frags and a smoke grenade for everyone. Maybe two mags of tracer rounds for Squad + Team leaders, it makes directing fire so much easier.

Off to greener pastures

Black guns are nice. Also, go ahead and update my missions with the medic script if you want. Just let me know if you want me to send them over to you.

Everyone should have a couple of HE grenades and at least one smoke grenade. Drives me crazy that the default has some fireteam members without HE grenades.

Commanders should have a couple of smoke colors for marking.

And for the love of all that is holy - squad leads should have binoculars! Wait, I've been entrusted to give orders of life and death to 20-40 soldiers but I don't know how to order something on Cabelas website? My parents refuse to get me a pair for my birthday even though my life may depend on it? The quartermaster is still waiting for the new up-armored 10x50's so my standard requisition has been refused?

If you are gonna hand out iron sites then fire team leaders should have binoculars too. See overblown rant above.

Mission makers can decide what to put in for optics. I don't care either way. I'll dance with the girl what brung me.

Everybody gets everything they want. I wanted a mission. And for my sins..they gave me one.

Medics should have more smoke than HE. I think.

Tell me what to change for the medic and group joining scripts and I'll update my missions.

As long as we have Scopes that's what is important to me, all the other suggestions sound good to me as well.

I'm interested in lethality, so BIS fix the damn armor problem already! Tired of flicking boogers at them at semi or full auto speeds, I'd like to use BULLETS.

My 5 cents (inflation);

1. Two HE grenades and a smoke per person; the mini HE are also nice - lighter and can be thrown farther, but smaller explosion

2. Medics - couple more smoke grenades

3. Chem lights seem to not be very useful, but are light enough that spending a bunch of time modifying missions might be time wasted

4. Two first aid kits for everyone, especially if we are running the medic script that allows us to stabilize others - the last Sunday/Monday sessions, I was looting dead enemy for these pretty frequently

5. AT launchers - since we often have been doing PCML launchers with no reloads (to more closely mimic real launchers), possibly give one of the rifleman a launcher as a pack mule? I seem to occasionally have issues with some of my PCML rounds landing short even with a lock - so only having one round could be the death of us

6. Autorifleman - similar to AT concept - have someone packmule a few more magazines?

7. Grenadiers - I'd say at least 5 HE rounds and a couple of smoke; the 3GL triple grenade magazines are fun, if futuristic

8. Commanders - consider giving them a grenade launcher and more smoke rounds than HE for marking enemy

Just to add to Gins/Fridges comments:

1) Last few times I've played as a medic only had the two HE grenades. Which makes getting into some situations tricky where Smoke would give a better result in making the enemy move to be able to engage. I'd almost prefer one HE nade for medics and maybe 2-3 smokes.

2) As well as the GL for Commanders and smoke; give them tracer magazines. It's a very quick non verbal way for them to mark targets for their fire team as well.

3)Just like Gin I was lotting Med Packs off dead corpses for the stabilise situations. You quickly run out of the one you have even patching up a wounded fire team leader (usually!)

4) As per Gins point 6 re Autoriflemen having a Auto Riflemen assistant is good for those missions where we are expecting to do a lot of shooting; which we are anyway at the moment to takedown the super armoured CSAT guys. Especially moreso if the mission makes up the amount of CSAT to offset how the extra fireteam or two we get in games offsets the CSAT body armour.

In Arma 2 we had the asst auto guy with extra mags. I'm not sure why we don't see those in A3 right now, other than the squads that had those tended to be 5+ guys while lately they're usually 4.
Granted the clips are only 100 rnds instead of 200, but you usually still get like 800 rounds.

Now if it's a dedicated heavy MG team of 2 or 3 an asst would be a must.
