Picked up a "bucket list" pistol! This is a Springfield Armory EMP 9mm (Enhanced Micro Pistol) Basically, SA took the 1911 design, and reduced it in size/scale to specifically design it for the 9mm cartridge. (Also comes in S&W .40) Pictures #1 & #2: First time to shoot the pistol. This is 22-25', and I shot either 21-28 rounds. (Can't remember!) Picture #3: Went out yesterday, 2nd time to try it. Same distance, 22-25'. 2 7-round groups. "Little Man" is first group. Red circle is 2nd group. That round above the box, and also the one below my red circle, were Not in those groups. I like this pistol.

Looking at the wall and ceiling I'm amazed at the number of really bad shots that have been there previously.

I'll admit it, I'm very inexperienced when it comes to guns. I've fired one maybe a dozen times in my life of various types. Yet even I know I never touch the trigger until I'm aiming at what I'm shooting at!
That and never look down the barrel from the far end, LOL!

Jedi, I noticed the same thing, not so sure I would feel safe shooting in that range.

Nice shootin' Bill. My daughter carries a Kimber .45 cal., and that looks surprisingly similar to it. Also shoots surprisingly accurate for a short barrel weapon.

The Jedi Master That is nothing. At a local range we have "wood boxes" for each shooting position with a bench/shooting position in it. There are holes all over the ceiling and walls, just feet away from the bench/standing position.

So, last night when you said you were going shooting I forgot to ask...What?
Beautiful pistol and very nice shooting. I have been looking at the Colt Defender .45 which is also looks very similar.

EMP's, Kimber's, Colt Defender's---and I recently bought a cheap-ass Citadel compact made in the Philippines. It's like you guys all got Infinities and I bought a Kia. Of course, with the money I saved, I got something ultimately more practical---a flintlock musket Cheers

How do you like the bobtailed grip, Iht645? And which company built it? Those grips are lovely.

It's a Dan Wesson V-Bob with a set of "Sarges" stag horn grips. I like the bob tail, can't feel the difference in my hand and it doesn't print under a shirt.
