A big change log. Supposedly fixed a number of flight models, although from reports that seems doubtful.

The biggest change is the tech tree. It is now a system similar to World of Tanks that is, IMO, exceptionally bad and will take a long time to get anywhere.
This also changes the tiers, which means you will have a wider spread of aircraft. Jets raping prop planes seems to be a big thing these days.

Anyone else have opinions? I think I will give it a couple of days, see what I think, but if my current opinion continues I'll be ditching it until they fix it.

seems to be a big fiasco...

- Very bad matchmaking: Less tiers but still awfully mixed tier battle: Korea jet vs end of WWII fighter...
- Grinding system even worst than before
- some have reported that they lost planes already unlocked in game
- still some big FM problem

On the positive, it seems like:
+ AI don't fly biplane anymore
+ Some bombers are easier to shot down with their FM corrected: "now, my A20 fly like a pig" which in my book is a good evolution from super uber agile A20

I would make some joke about this being like a beautiful woman with no brains. At first you are interested but you can only take it for so long.

My computer says it can't even find aces.exe since the update! Anyone got any ideas about this? An update that gets rid of the exec file? Pretty sad IMO.

Try doing an install refresh or repair or whatever it's called?

I gave 1.37 a go last night, and in Arcade mode whilst flying a BF-109 E-3 I got into a turning fight and lost to an IL-2. This means I must suck gloriously (highly probable), or the Russian devs are slightly biased towards the Sturmovik seehearspeak

Matchmaking is a joke. Had Spit mk1 + Hurricanes against p-47,me410 and b-17
1 match I was killed 3 times in a row by 1 shot pilot dead...
takes forever to unlock planes (should not say planes but plane has I havent unlock 1 since new patch)

This game has a control mode called MouseAim which signigicantly lowers the hardle
to play flying shooting game for people who doesn't own joystick.

Even though the Flight Characteristics(how plane behaves at various speed, turn radius) can differs from the control mode to other traditional one(Simplified, Realistic), they are all mixed in the same match in arcade mode.
As Flight Model is inherently forgiving in the arcade battle, things like you described can happen many times.

They really need to fix this BS Yer 2 base bombing crap. Making the game really unfun when it ends 2 mins in.

I can understand people doing it cos it gives the quickest RP return but it totally sucks ass for the other players that want to play legitimately.
