It really is a terrific addition!
I wish we could SEE the skins in game tho...(and yes, there's a program that shows you the various parts of the skinned plane, but I'd like a way to see the whole plane skinned).
The other day I was reading the serial number on the wing of a plane and thought "wow! so much detail in these skins!"

I just ordered it, despite having already spent too much money this holiday season. I'll end up buying it anyway, so may as well fly with it now. I'm just wondering how long it takes for the d/l link to show up in our email. It's automated isn't it? Or does someone have to send it to you? Didn't know whether I should wait a bit longer or just continue flying and look for it in the morning.
(For Tech Reference) i7-4770k Intel Processor @3.5Ghz, 16GB System RAM, GTX760 2GB video, 250GB SSD, 1TB HDD (with Win7-64 on it).

Today I decided to give myself an early Christmas gift and purchased/downloaded the WOFF skin pack. Boy, it is worth every penny of the $24.99 USD I laid down. So many wonderful skins! Then I discovered the best part. When I fly my career and my flight includes a famous pilot/historical ace, the AI aircraft wears the skin of the famous pilot/historical ace flying it. Wow, does it ever make things that much more immersive. This is a feature that ROF does not even have. As I was flying my SE-5a today, I was bounced by a Fokker DVII. I managed to slip my attacker then get on his tail, I immediately recognized the Fokker DVII as being flown by Jasta 11's Willi Gabriel, who by the way, slipped my attack and made for his own lines. Nice job on the skin pack. Keep up the good work. You'll find the main Aces have their own skins anyway without the skin pack.

Yes, in agreement with the above mentioned hope that some sort of viewer will be added in the near future. I find it considerably discouraging to the use of all of these wonderfull skins to not be able to see what you are even selecting. Seems to be a basic tenet of every other flight sim in which you can choose such. Even a viewer that lets you see the basic "skinmap" without it being applied to the aircraft would be a huge improvement.

This is a feature that ROF does not even have. The beta career doesn't have it, but PWCG has added historical ace skins to missions for years.

RA. +1 It's a HUGE and obvious missing feature.

RA. +1 It's a HUGE and obvious missing feature. Not a deal breaker for me since you can use a tool like iFranView to see them outside the game, but do have to agree would love to see some sort of in-game viewer as you select the skin that it gets applied visually to your plan. With the extra skins being such a great feature, might not get as fully used as it would if there was a viewer insider the game. I am guessing it is outside the scope of a future update, but would be great to consider.

Yeah, not a deal breaker....but I was a bit suprised. What is this iFran-View thing you mentioned, an how do you use it to see the skins? I just hate having to use third party software just to see these, but guess you gotta do what you gotta do. And is there another like photoshop that can be utilized?
Thanks!

I am sure there are other picture programs but this is the one I use and most familiar, its free. http://www.irfanview.com/Download and install. Point to the directory where all the skins are stored and you can do a slideshow of all the skins. Won't show them on the planes, but you will see the skins themselves enough to get an idea of what they are.
