Hello all. I've been looking to get into RTS games, and have followed some of the development of the Achtung Panzer/graviteam tactics games, and played a fair bit of Steel Fury. I don't have any of the Graviteam tactics games, so what do you guys think would be the best base set to get to start out with?

That is easy. There are only 2 to choose from. The OLD Kharkov 1943 and APOS/GTOS (same thing). Get Graviteam tactics. The base game is pretty BIG to start with. Then you have a bunch of DLC's for it. Best bet for a a buy with the fewest potential issues is from Gamersgate. Mius is still getting made which will probably take over from GTOS just as APOS/GTOS took over from K43.


Good ole K43 is still a good game, but GTOS is just way more...well everything.

Wow the tutorial is steep. Has someone done a set of tutorial vids or something that make it a bit less thrown-in-at-the-deep-end?

Its a VARY complex game...... at first. after a few hours under the belt it makes sense. BUT the ai is brutal at times and is more than happy to hand you your ass.

The tutorial throws EVERYTHING at you at once. there are some tutorials around somewhere. Be damned if I remember where.
