I have to buy for myself now since two wives have gone on to their reward. They're not dead, but just moved away after the divorces. However, I talk to them monthly and both are miserable as hell. Somehow, this is more than enough reward for me. Anyway, I got this just last week. I have lusted after this set since Colt first released it back in 1977. However, they were way beyond my means at the time. Suddenly after 36 years, several sets are popping up at auction almost weekly. I'm guessing that most of the original buyers have passed on and their heirs are unloading them--and at a loss. I got this set for only 9% more than they were priced 36 years ago, which means that they were a horrible investment (quite a few commemoratives are) The set comes in a velvet lined, solid American walnut case. Two 1860 Armies with shoulder stock--all with matched serial nos., Colt marked mold, flask, wrench, & cap tin. --and a shot with the stock fitted to a pistol--but I'll probably never shoot them Cheers
Artillery adds dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

This year, like last, the kids came first, so we made sure they got a new bike (for the older one, the younger one gets the older's bike) and several other toys and puzzles and books.
I got a couple of t-shirts, a tin of chocolate covered pretzels, and a $25 Amazon gift card.
Sucks when you have no money. Compared to 2011...

The Jedi Master Same here, had to make sure the family was taken care of before us. Did get a sodastream to make my own soda and a small frig for my office that I can stock beer in while gaming . Wife was hesitant to buy the frig because all I need is a direct line to the toilet and I have no reason to leave my office. LOL Also as a gift to ourselves we adopted a dog. Supposedly its a Lab/mix. Looks like it has some Beagle and pitt mixed in. Very sweet dog though.

gift card to a soak in the Hot Tubs in Hot Springs, NC with dinner after. An Etch-A-Sketch to replace the one I've had since I was a kid. I love those for hours of fun. Already drew a Santa with bag of toys from a catalog. will have to post some in photo bucket, since I photograph them with my phone before erasing. A dash mount for my phone, so I can have it and gps mounted at once. Some Dr. Bronners soap, a pillow case with deer, bear and moose, hand made coaster, and tons of good chocolate, old fashioned candy and home made goodies. This was topped of with my son remaining, not only sober, but fun to be with, that was the best gift of all! Great to have all 5 of us together and happy.

I was out working most of the day blowing snow. Picked up 4 inches of snow last night and most of cleared last night, then overnight another inch of it mixed with the south winds made a mess. So up 8am and out for 4 hours cleaning that up. Then around 4 pm had to go back out after the front came through with 40 mph winds and totally reshaped it once again. Another 2 hours worth of work and I was shot. Merry Christmas, Miller time. I live in a apartment complex in the Twin citys and we got 3 inchs of snow Christmas eve. Then around 11:30pm that night an ambulance and police car came and the caretaker had not shoved the snow yet.. You do much better work JimK.
