Psst Semmern biggrin

The name is Bond, James Bond.

I saw this for sale, and couldn't resist it. This is about as one of a kind you get smile

Comes in beautiful suitcase, with a certificate, the gun and a video about the history of the Walther PPK

Snugly in it's box.

"Last Edition 1931-1999" means just that. This is one of the last 500 Walther PP/PPKs made in the Ulm factory in Germany before it shut down in 1999.

.380 ACP (9mm kurz/short). Comes with Nill grips installed from the factory. The previous owner fired a couple hundred rounds with it, so it's basically mint condition.

A pain to get factory ammo for it, so I'll be handloading it. So it's good I got 2500 FMJ bullets and 1000 cases for it. Can't wait to try it out in the spring biggrin

I just noticed that. How hard is it to ship ammunition overseas? Nobody ever buys out the billions of rounds of .380 around here biggrin

Beautiful piece!! I bought a PPK/S in .380 a while back and it's been a great shooter. I love the design and the history of the PP series and consequently picked up a 1969 PP in 7.65 last week that was too good of a deal to pass up. All I need to complete the trifecta of PP series goodness is a PPK. My only question for you is why do you have to wait so long to shoot it??

.380 isn't that common a caliber here, .32 ACP is still much more in use.

As such, very few stores stock .380 ACP, and also most of the production goes to US stores, so there is a backlog on exports (One store I asked didn't expect to get any .380 ammo for another 10-12 months).

It's winter here, it's dark most of the afternoons as well, which makes going out to shoot not that enjoyable. And the indoor ranges I have access to don't allow FMJ ammo, only LRN. So I need to get some LRN bullets.

my PPK has a pin on the hammer to indicate a round is in the chamber. I have been told that indicated it was WWII era. Anyone know about that. It is a very nice pistol to fire, easy to keep on target without much kick.

The loaded chamber indicator above the hammer is inherent to the design so it doesn't mean your gun is WWII vintage. The markings on the gun will tell its vintage. Describe them or better yet post some pics and I might be able to give you some idea of what you got.

Better get my tux out for our next range visit biggrin

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Its not the bullet with your name on it you have to worry about.
