Anyone having an issue with the DL? I started my DL, reached 96% and it locked up. I paused the DL and resumed and it began again but the screen showed 4.37Gb while the file size went well beyond that. So I hit pause again, then resume and this time it jumped back to around 13% with 43 minutes to go. So I shrugged it off and let it DL. The timer has now stopped yet the file continues to DL. I am now at 4.9Gb and counting.

Oh dear,

problem: download @71% (and its taken 6 hours to get this far)paused and resumed twice-aged fingers
stumbling over keys- and now download back to 0% and over 5 and half hours to go!

What did I do?

Advise others to be very wary of pause/resume button.

(Quite why it should take over 5 hours to download 4.37GB I don't know.)

Any suggestions?

The pain, the pain.

I am feeling your pain too. My download is now 3 hours in and only 48% complete. Pol warned us that it may be long downloads in another thread due to buyer demand. I thought two weeks was long! Can't wait to jump in to this sim! Like waiting to get the orders for flight school.

Gotta laugh, Tailspinner,

it was a classic "d'oh" moment.

At 6% now but at least, for the moment, dloading at a reasonable clip - 451KB/sec.
Only 2hrs 36mins to go.

Arrrggghhh

RS, yes funny! Interesting, my dl just about doubled. I am now at 58% and moving quicker with 2+ hrs to go. The dl load is lightening.

I have had two failures.First download stopped at 1.8G, the second at 4.2G and started all over again at 0G.I think I will give it away and wait for the DVD to arrive. After four years what's another couple of weeks?

Guys you have 10 retries and after that all is not lost - simply contact Avangate with your order number and we will authorise more.

Yes lots of downloads going on.

Well, I tried again and succeeded!Download was fast and smooth.But...when I tried to install WOFF after CFS3 files were installed and prelims finished when I hit the final Install button I was told to insert Disk1??? What the? Looks as though I will have to wait until my DVD arrives anyway.

Hi Hood, answer the question as accurately as possible and it will work.

You need to either point to the installed CFS3, OR put the CFS3
DVD in if you chose the other option!?.

Yes Pol,the CFS3 files installed normally from the CFS3 dvd when instructed to.The problem arose after that when the questions re destination files etc had been answered and the final "install" was pressed.

The disk it is asking for is your CFS3 disk1 so you may not have read the dialogue correctly.
In any event put your CFS3 DVD in.

There is no need to wait for your WOFF DVD.

WM,
Total download time took about 3.5 hours to complete. Not bad considering the high bandwith demand and my less than adequate internet pipeline. Installation went smooth and really looking forward to seeing all of your hard work in action for myself today. Thanks again for everything!

Also hood, if you have given the CFS3 files OK and are on the next screen, and then you get this error, make sure you are not installing from USB stick. WOFF install files must be in 1 folder, and on your hard drive as is explained on the HELP page, and in the downloadable FAQ, on the website.

Hi Mark (aka Winding Man). I have paid for WOFF but it is downloading extremely slowly - it says I have 1 day 20 hours still to go... As we get about one power cut a day this is going to be painful ...

Any chance of a DVD being posted here in SA rather than getting it from the US?

(I can prove I have paid and will reimburse you for P&P - or come to collect)

Regards and thanks for all your work!

After nearly 24 hrs downloading and with only about four mins to go,I get "this download has been interupted"
Why?
Downloading is not quick half way up a mountain but had no probs before.
Suppose will have to wait for dvd now.
Anyway Merry Christmas all when it gets here!

Ed, ben downloading again for few mins but forgot to paste to browser thing.
Is important?

This is the slowest download I have had for ages. Need to go to sleep. Why did I buy this tonight when I know I have to get up early, I should have waited for tomorrow night, haha.

I have tried every which way to install WOFF.I have 6 downloads left and have tried install at least ten times, always with the same result.Everything goes well until the final install "next"This is whether I use my CFS3 DVD, my installation of CFS3 or the CFS3 CD.They all proceed normally until I press the final install "Next"
Then the install box appears with the wording "Installing WOFF"
The Install Progress line remains blank and over it the following message appears.
The File Wings Over Flanders Fields Phase.4.1.0-1a.bin can not be located in C:\Users\Keith\App Data\Local\Temp\7z08D8D.Temp.Please insert the correct disk or select another folder.
Inserting either my CFS3 CD or the CFS3 DVD. no result. That same message box remains.
I suppose all this effort fills in the time until my WOFF disk arrives.
Happy New Year!!
