..and some unrelated A-7 shots.. SweetFX did the in-game filtering..but I need to tweak the one for the Israel install since it desaturates too much..

Super shots! Love the classic fighters from the 60's. I think I made models of all of these as a kid. Love them!

These look awesome. If I have any cash leftover after Christmas, I have a feeling it'll be spent on SF2:Wings Over Vietnam.

I second what Leemz said. It's either that or Command, and I'm feeling pretty torn on that choice right now. I love the vietnam era aircraft. Plus there have been so many good books about the vietnam air conflict.

All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

Excellent! I re-installed SFP1's F-105 lately to get access to hi-rez skins, but now I can go back to the more detailed SF2 model, with the best looking skins I've ever seen. sundowners is hand down one of the best skinner around!

The problem with the SF2 sims is that they kind of suck you in, and before you know it you are reaching for your wallet again. I started with SF2 Vietnam because of Beach's amazing shots using the Green Hell 3.5 mod. Then I picked up SF2 Europe because I wanted to fly some RAF types in a realistic setting....... And now Expansion Pack 2 is calling me because I really want to fly the Lightning, but SF2 NA beckons because I am intrigued at being able to do better carrier ops than what SF2 Vietnam offers.. Lol.

I didn't use to care much for '60s planes, but that A-7 is one beautiful bird.

I've always thought it was a particularly mean and beefy aircraft. Particularly in the semi-modern (Gulf War era) dark grey paint scheme (DoD images):

Those '91 Thuds look great for only being 22 years old. They're newer than the F-4G I worked (69-7207), my F-16C (83-1394), my other F-16 (84-0207), and my A-10C (80-1217) wink exitstageleft

Great skins!

Have you made a list somewhere of what mods you are using for the Vietnam Theater?

Strike Fighters only saves in .JPG, not .BMP - so the original is in JPG here:

HERE!

The vignette and colors are not post process - those are in-game effects done by SweetFX (one of my new favorite programs!)..
