So its Black Friday, and Christmas is soon to follow, everyone and their dog is doing discounts on games, so can we expect any kind of discount on Graviteam games and DLC this year?

Would really like to get and give full pack of Achtung Panzer/GTT DLC, but its quite pricey together normally.

So Shilovo and Shield of the Prophet is 13% off, and Krasnaya Polyana got 30% on GamersGate. Thats not really what i had in mind. wink

No really if i could get confirmation there will be a Graviteam sale including most/all DLCs and at least 50% discount(more the merrier winkngrin ) in the next few weeks, i would totally hold off buying stuff, and get a complete set. Thank you.

Thats actually quite underwhelming. Discount is lower than what Matrix is using.(of all places frown ) Or what Graviteam used to have before.(i remember Shield of the Propehet had -35% preorder discount instead of the usual 10-20%) I would really like a much more time limited but bigger sale. Or at least the possibility of one.

Ok heres the deal. I want to fill the gaps in my collection, and buy a new set as a gift. But i dont have 130€(no im not kidding, 88.57€ is the _sale_ price of the Gravitem Tactics collection) to do that with a 30% off sale. So either there will be something more decent, or i will have to preorder Men of War Assault Squad 2 for both of us, and still have money for the likes of 66%-75% discounted Unity of Command+Red Turn.

Well, I agree. In next project we set price in Matrix style -> 80-90$ for 2D turn-based combat only. And then we can make a discounts of 60% or may be 75%.
Of course 3D realtime will be as DLC for separate price.

Need to be in step with the times and keep up.

Actually you'll find GTOS and it's DLC on offer constantly throughout the year sometimes as much as 75% off!

Just be patient..comparing this to Slitherine and their business practice is a joke.

WOW and the games your thinking of buying instead is mind blowing..really? GTOS and the DLC is worth ten of those put together. Infact I wouldn't even consider buying them.

GTOS for $7.49 Just make sure you get the DLC from gamersgate...otherwise you can't use the polygon patch. This full price game is fine to buy though..I use it and all my DLC are Gamersgate.

Thanks for posting those links above. Picked up Zhalanashkol 1969 for the price of a cheap beer smile Now my modern DLCs are complete. Well worth it.

Ok lets keep a cool head please.cheers

I mentioned Matrix cause they are actually beating Graviteam by discount amount. Given their much better performance in past price reductions, thats a letdown for me. I dont want anything from Matrix, otherwise i would be writing on their forums.

Please also note i wrote here on SimHQ, not Graviteam forum, while still monitored by devs and a swift response is possible, are less likely to be trolled by fans to hell and back, leaving my question unanswered.

I explained my intentions. I am aiming for a full pack since my mate also doesnt like DLC(cue that Mona Lisa DLC meme), so ill need to provide a full set, or non at all. The full set of APOPSTAR and GTT DLC is 88.57€ with a discount, thats more expensive than 2 preorder copies of a competing RTT game, and i didnt buy anything for myself. A full set of APOPSTAR game and DLC may or may not provide much much more value than that preorder, still its too expensive, and i cant buy just half a pack for reasons explained.

Mentioned preorders(including instant beta access) arent even live yet(msrp is known from insider), so i do have about 2 weeks(before Christmas at worst), but additional games are on sale this very minute. Thats why i chose to ask, and not just wait it out.

I dont want it free, i dont want it almost free, or for Graviteam to loose money, or anything like that, im just in a position where the limited gaming budget forces me to choose, and spend money wisely.

Sadly Andreys answer was hard to interpret.
again: Will there be a better than 30% deal on Graviteam Tactics base game and DLC before Christmas? Even an 8 hour flash sale on Gamersgate perhaps.
A simple yes or no would suffice, and be much appreciated. thumbsup

Wodin: I thought Strategy First was one of the western publishers that withheld royalties from Graviteam, and are not recommended for Graviteam products purchase because of that.

Do you think those two copies of "a competing RTT game" are really comparable to GTOS even without DLCs? I guess this is some kind of bad joke. And considering "good" discount amounts of Matrix... Are you trolling?

My bad. Mentioning other games and companies existed that also race for peoples money was a foolish thing indeed. Lets pretend it never happened and focus on the possibility of a sale. notworthy

Krabb: Please be better than "them" if you dont like "them". I really dont want to stir up emotions and generate a feeble flame war, thats why i posted here in the first place.

Well, if you want to generate a flame war, there is "Contact the Moderator" button. And don't pretend I've told something that I didn't (mentioning other games and companies). If you don't want to buy whatever, fine. Maybe aforementioned Matrix has something with its superb 33% discounts. Excellent deal for example: CMANO for just $40 instead of $60.

Graviteam really set games as low as they really can. Remember... these are niche products. Matrix is doing something strange with their pricing IMO. Setting pretty high. But again...they are a niche product. But also they CAN offer a huge "discount" at times and still come out ahead. Gravi has a lower price point...they simply can not lower to give percentage price or even PAY you buy the game. There are sales that are damned good deals IMO. It it up to the consumer to decide if and witch product is worth your time or money. But these are really totally different sorts of war games AND totally different sales strategy's. A 2d hex line of strat games OR a 3d real time rendered tactical game. In fact while they share some of the same core war game crowd they really do not even compete in the same market. Actually more like compliment each other in what each does.

UGH sorry for bad spelling and grammar. LONG weekend and I don't care if its all wonky. biggrin
