We have a lot of pet owners here, so lets see your buddies! What do you have (or miss?), name and feel free to say something about them. This is Brandy. Picked her up at a rescue league a couple hours from home at the first of this month. Not a shy bone in her body! She's probably around 3-4 months old. Best guess is miniature Dachshund with possibly Pomeranian or something along those lines. First dog I've had that didn't shed. Very sweet, just wants to be a lap dog and pretty smart. Lots of energy, but pretty manageable for a puppy. She moves in after our 17 y/o Jack Russell mix (Elwood) died a while back earlier this year. Gone but hardly forgotten. This picture online sold her. At home, to be found daily pretty much like this. ...and Maggie, the cat. She's 8 and an inside cat. Normally freaks going outside even to the vet. She grew up with Elwood around, so was pretty disoriented when he was put to sleep. The vet sent us a pawprint of him a week later. She ran over when we opened the box, sniffed it and laid down on it for quite a while, finally catching on. Outside of home...bad. Would rather just stay in the carrier.

This was my cat Tiffany.Unfortunately she had to take the big cat-nap in the sky a few weeks ago at age 19. She was so friendly you could do anything with her.She loved being cradled like a baby and having her tummy played with. She was also a skilled hunter and left me many 'presents' in the house. Thanks for that Tiff. I would love another but I can't make the decision just yet.

My twin girls been asking for a couple of years now if they could have a kitty. Back in April on their 6th Birthday, my wife and I decided they are finally old enough to have one. We adopted these two 6-weeks old female kitties. Keep in mind these photos were taken back in April.Patches and Misty on the left (that's her sister Patches on the right) Here's more recent photos:Misty enjoying some quiet time while the children are at school. Misty says: "This is MINE now!" Patches! You know you are not allowed on the bed! That innocent clueless look won't get you out of trouble! They get into everything now! We woke up last week to find newspapers turned into confetti. Or one day we came home to find an entire roll of toilet paper unraveled and shredded all over the house. If I am lying down on the sofa watching TV or trying to get a few min rest, they jump on me. I guess it's too late to send them back to the shelter after 7 months. Our kids will cry their heart out.
What's in the box? C'mon, what's in the boooox?

I'm never sure if posting a picture works ...but here goes ! This was my first Greyhound Sid. He died just after his 14th birthday. He raced for 5 1/2 years and came 4th in his last race against dogs 1/2 his age. Amazinging focused, alpha dog with very high prey drive, but super gentle with kids and pups. Registed therapy dog and worked and seniots homes and children's hospitals. Was afraid of NOTHING and no amount of noise or commotion would spook him. I seacrched thsi PC for a picture of our current grey "Thunder" but I don't have one. They are on my home PC. He's a much more 'average' dog, but is super affectionate and very playful and gregarious. A great dog too My son also has a boxer/english bulldog cross called Marley. She and Thunder are best buddies

Archie, was it you who posted some really good pics of a Grey in the photo forum a while ago? Looks like a wonderful dog.
For some reason I wouldn't want to keep one myself, It may have been me ....posting pics is "hit & miss" for me I'll be the first to admit that retired racing Greyhounds are not suited to everybody. They tend to be independent and almost "feline" in personality and are entirely usless as watchdogs. They are not very "cuddly" .....all legs & bones but they are quiet, laid back, don't shed much or have that doggey smell. The breed just suits my personality and lifestyle well. I also quite enjoy going to the track to watch them race when I'm in the UK. Lots of people get really upset about greyhound racing and want to see it banned. If there was no racing I expect that there would be hardly any greyhounds in the world and thousands of familiies would not have excellent pets.

Some of ours. The Goldfish. Raja the blue Veiltail Betta: Princely, the red Veiltail Betta, who shares the tank with Raja. Have to keep the tank divided otherwise they'll fight each other to their deaths. Plex, the bushynose Pleco (hard to take his pic as he is nocturnal and only comes out when the lights are off. We have 6 more White Cloud Minnows, 5 Ember tetras, and 5 Neon tetras, but they are camera shy We had 2 cats but had to find them new homes as my son is severely allergic, hence the fish.

I'm highly allergic to dogs and cats too. Living with them helps in time, mostly like when I was a kid and didn't know I was allergic to our dog. LOL Pretty bad with cats, but with ours being indoors only (she wouldn't have it any other way) it's not remotely as bad as other cats. It was a miserable couple of months at first, but my wife really wanted one. Still, a scratch or bite will get a skin reaction for a day or so, and if she lays near the head of the bed on my side I'll be up that night getting sick unless I move or change the pillow case. That's rare though, she knows better so it's worth it. I do a lot of handwashing anyway too, a good habit for those of us with killer allergies. Plus I get endless points with the wife for putting up with it all. My allergy skin test had my back looking like a cheese grater for 2 weeks.
