Maggie passed away unexpectedly not long ago and Grace & Glory were about to move to Florida so Missy would have been alone so guess what?

Meet Tigger, Simba and Ben. Ben (black) is a rescue cat now nineteen. His brother Bill died a while back. Hence Tigger and Simba, acquired at eight weeks, now about one and half. Now they have grown the three get on very well. They did make his life a bit of a torment when they were little, first trying to suckle off him and later trying to hump him. Ben is the oldest cat we've ever had and Tigger and Simba have definitely brought out a more youthful side in him.

The look in Ben's eyes says it all!

We have two rescue cats around five years old. They kill anything they can catch, which is shrews, voles, mice, rats, moles, rabbits and birds. Looks kinda bad, written down.

Did I mention how big rats can get? I have pics...

OK I'll give this a go..

First Up, We have Mitch, My Min-Pin
Mitch was Born in 1993 and Belonged to a friend of the family for the first 9 years of his life. I was always over there visiting and playing with him in the backyard and taking him for walks. I watched Mitch for months at a time when his owner began to battle cancer and had to stay in the hospital for long periods of time, when Mitch was 10 his owner decided he would not be able to watch him anymore,

Mitch was adopted by me Late 2002, (Owner wanted to put him down) and spent the last 9 years of his life with me.

Mitch Passed away at 8:10 Am on February 17th, 2011.

Next Up we Have Tobie (dont ask, it was my father's name choice)
No Idea when she was born, she was a stray that SPCA Caught, She was fixed prior to be put out on her own, she still has her 5th claws, and a few other things domesticated dogs dont usually have, first few weeks were rough, as she ate Anything that was cardboard.

A few months back, she had nearly fatal anemia, to the point where she wouldnt even get up to go to the bathroom, I had to carry her to the vet, where after 4 transfusions, her blood count returned to normal, after a week stay at the vet she recovered and is happily chasing squirels around the yard

(pic is from when she was at the vet, will find a better pic when I Get home)

Next up is Sneaky,
Sneaky was born a stray cat in our Garage in the early 2000's, part of the last stray litter from the stray cat known as Mama Cat. Sneaky grew up a outdoor stray cat. As mom puts it, we didnt adopt Sneaky, he Adopted us.

Everyday Sneaky would sit in the lawn chair in front of our house and wait for everyone to come home. He would catch Birds, yard mice, and other smaller animals and leave them next to the door as gifts. Eventually we took him to get his shots and fixed. He continued to stay around our house, eventually other stray cats would venture into our yard and get into fights with Sneaky. About 4 months ago Sneaky got into a serious fight with another stray cat and was cut up pretty bad. A few weeks later he began to lose energy and muscle mass. We took him to the vet where they diagnosed him with a fataly low blood count, and Feline Leukemia. Due to the seriousness of his health he was brought into the house, but kept away from his twin brother. After Several blood transfusions and a few weeks, Sneaky regained most of his energy and began to Climb on Desks and Furniture, a few weeks later he had caught one of the outdoor mice, and Tried to carry it around the house to show off.

A week later, Sneaky's blood count dropped again, and eventually, something failed, as he climbed off my bed to the floor and had what looked like a seizure, I called my brother and mom to get them to come help, he calmed down a little when my brother and mom arrived, lil by little he started to leave us, breathing less and less, until he laid there lifeless.

He spent his last 2 months living indoors eating fresh Tuna and gourmet cat food.

Sneaky's Twin brother (Riff Raff) is the only one left out of all of Sneaky's brother's and sister's.

This was his last pic, taken a few days before he passed on.

Last up, is my Super Vicious Killer Pit Bull "Hooch"
(Roommate named him "Blaze", but I always called him hooch, and he always behaved and listened to me more than her, so...)

Roommate bought him and brought him home, he lived in my Apartment with me up till I had to move, at which point he was adopted by a friend because I couldn't take him with me to my parents house (already 2 dogs and 2 cats there, and a elderly father that didnt need a energetic dog running between his feet).

was Mardi-Gras

Good thread timing, for the old boy in this house --

This is Bertie, back when he was ~5 -

Today is is last full day. He's 17 now... tomorrow he's going to go see all his brothers and sisters who left us earlier.

The Mister got a reprieve. I hope the tests don't kill him. -- WC cat

---

These two terrorists came to live with us about 1 1/2 years ago. They are the Belle sisters. Tinka Belle is in the tux and white whiskers and is about 2; she was likely a wild kitty until she got caught. Dora Belle with the golden eyes is somewhere around 7 and had prolly never been outside or seen a dog before coming to live with us.

Splash walked up to my wife from out of the sagebrush near Rifle, CO -- skinny as a rail and so thirsty she sipped water out of a glass on a side table. We think she's about 12 now. She is a Catahula Louisiana Leopard breed, brindle variety.

Kimela, who loves to lay where the sun is shining through the windows. Adopted her from a shelter in Phoenix in 2005.

Patches, the scared jealous cat. She's scared of just about any noise or movement you can do, and don't try to pick her up. The jealous part is where we can't touch the Kimela without her butting her way in between when trying to give Kimela some attention. She adopted us when we moved to Las Vegas in 2008, she showed up on the back door step and wouldn't go away. I've a soft spot for cute furry animals, so we let her in the house. Very rough time for about 6 months, our Kimela was pissed so we had to keep the two separated at all times. Now they both roam the house freely, but there is still some tension when both cats try to occupy the same piece of the sofa.

Skatezilla, was that the flea infestation that your dog fought with?

Birds are damn cool, I had one, well trained, but eventually someone opened a door and the next room had a window half-open... that Angry Birds shot is priceless.

Yeah, them things took over our yard cuz the neighbors on both sides treated theirs the same day, I didnt know they did, then the City Treated the Grass in the center of the street, so they all migrated to my yard, and in one day they took over the lower level of the house.

Ah, I remember that thread but not sure if you ever posted the reason. It seemed quite an extraordinary thing to happen to the poor dog. Glad she got better.
