They have also moved to Unreal Engine 4 from Unreal Engine 3. That will bring the graphics and technology up to par with modern high end games and should make the game last longer. Apparently it is easier to develop for to, so hopefully that helps modders.

Nice 18 second video that shows absolutely nothing. This game has been in production for years...there has to be SOME content!?

They've been releasing media for years. Plenty of videos of extremely WIP feature demonstrations to more polished videos from the last Kickstarter. Though as they are just finishing up the switch to UE4, I think the old stuff will look a bit dated. Some of the stuff from 2009 or so certainly does already.

So I would just wait and see what media they release in the coming weeks.

With the 2012 KS, John showed quite a bit of in-game footage and it didn't help much.

And then there is the switch to UE4.

On the one hand, we want to show off our unique features.

On the other, we want a public build.

Time spent getting content together a few minutes of ingame footage now is time we could spend doing it properly.

Damned if we do, damned if we don't smile

Just MY OPINION, but, asking/expecting customers to look at work-in-progress and get excited about what you say the finished product will be is a very tough sell. Every project in development has potential - why should I think this one will actually realize it? Years in development and this is all there is to show for it?!? We've seen this formula before....

That said, I hope this project gets done, and I hope it blows me away!!

I'm a reasonable guy, but I've just experienced some very unreasonable things...
