Reading this thread made me think of these scenes,

About my friend. He did some stupid things and instead of going into conflict with the law he decided to leave the country for several years.

@Gopher, nice soundtrack i really like it smile

@PanzerMayer , was that a videoclip from the last SimHQ convention? wink

Keyboards, mostly rock organ. A miserable left hand and ****ing good right.

These days it's mostly congas. I play along with whatever I'm listening to. YouTube is great for that; put on Santana at Woodstock, crank 'er up, and join the band. cheers

I have sang in a few bands. It was always something I wanted to do, but didn't get the courage to try until about 5 years ago. Currently I'm singing in a Motley Crue Tribute band Sleaze Patrol. It's a lot of fun. I'd post our video but I think I already have here a few times.

I've played in bands for the last 25 years or so, guitar, bass, vocal, keyboard. All kinds of music. In a classic rock/blues/southern rock band right now playing keys and singing. Good fun, a little money, and free beer.

Couldn't afford a guitar when I was a kid. Was too busy through military, raising kids etc. Finally have time, so I bought an Epiphone SG last year, and taught myself, with help of internet. I got the bug so bad now, I dropped the dime on a Marshall JVM halfstack smile Will buy my first Gibson soon. I've nailed most of Sabath, Judas Priest, some Rush and Ozzy, Nuge, ZZ top stuff. Great hobby. Anyone in Northern Cinci area intereated in jamming let me know, I'm not to old to start a band yet band

Check out Jellynote...good online tabs and music, as well as Songster. Some music you will have to buy the official sheet music/books though cause there aren't accurate free tabs of it anywhere.

Richardg,
That's a nice Marshall stack.
One question can you play it at home without your neighbours declaring war againstyou?

Yes. But I prefer to be at war! (Modern Marshalls have a master volume, so you can lower the volume to practice levels)

Vienna, 2nd rock left.
Impressive Gopher. Not quite the action of a Hans Zimmer piece, but for one man and computer this is a mind boggling amount of well done work.

Bass and rhythm since 1960. First tune I learned was Jerry Lordon's Apache. Inspired by The Shadows.

Hey do you have any sound samples or youtube clips of your or your band playing

The only known clip of me playing is below. My usual gig as 'sideman' in the background. A buddy of mine called me to sit in on a gospel concert. The girl singing had just turned 15 at the time. She muffs the words a few times and this was recorded on ( I think ) her mom's cam corder.

No, but I wish I was. My current employer has a global reputation for musicianship in voice and keyboard, so I feel a little inadequate being rubbish at both biggrin

Been a guitarist for 30+ years now. Played live on and off for 20+ years but spend more time recording these days.

Check out my Youtube channel if you like instrumental prog/rock.

I've been teaching myself to play guitar. Basically something just to do, but I do enjoy it.
