Did me a interesting study, well at least interesting for me...

I've always preferred the game pad over a mouse/keyboard combo due to feeling awkward with the mouse in my left hand and using the keyboard with my right hand. I've tried learning it, but it just never seems to click on the new action shooters, (works with tactical shooters due to a slow pace and more observation then reaction.)

So when I got the new Call of Duty Ghost game for both PC and 360, and then learned that the PC version fully supported the game pad, I started my experiment.

On MP, on both systems, PC and console I started with the same character, same load out, same everything and played both till level 7, which is a corporal rank, I then compared both stats to see if, with a game pad, am I a better PC gamer or console gamer. I always thought and believed I was a better console player due to the field being equal, meaning all using game pads.

So, I pretty much learned that I SUCK at all gaming, my strength is teamwork and leadership, IMO. But I was surprised to see that even with a game pad, on PC their is no auto-aim assist, their always is to some extent on consoles, how much better I did on PC compared to the 360... I wonder why? Graphics maybe, seeing better?

Now doing the same test with BF4 up to level 10 for both PC and 360, we will see if it's confirmed.

Did you alternate so new maps were introduced on both? If you started on console then played pc on maps you were then familiar with, that could help in all kinds of ways.
Being a good team player, which gave you more teammates with comms? What does your w/l look like? Bullets are free, don't sweat the accuracy. As a better team player than most, that should mean more cover fire where needed to support the team, so that renders accuracy stats useless.

actually PC was first then got the 360 version a day later.

and I know, my W/L is usually pretty good, and in the BF series I almost always have the highest team assist scores, which I like... but still, a interesting study to me.

I think that says more than your accuracy. A good team player that's not just twitch shooting can be effective anywhere regardless of kb/m or controller. You just have to know how to really play the game.
Which version do you enjoy more? I still haven't pulled the trigger on it, but I guess I'd go pc since I don't have Live right now.

Actually... I was surprised to like and enjoy the PC version so much more, when usually...with the CoD series I've always liked the console due to the big screen and surround sound, and sitting on the couch, but now my 360 is where my PC is. Probably why.

I had Battlefield 3 both on 360 and PC, and played them both with the Xbox 360 controller.

My kill/death ratio was understandably worse on PC than Xbox 360.

I cannot maintain a positive K/DR on PC. I hover from .8 to .9 usually. On 360 it was easier to get above 1.0.

So much harder to compete with players who are really good with a mouse.

Cover fire doesn't really work that well in COD, as twitch kiddies will see ur blip on the radar and will attack you, not take cover. I find the less I show up on radar the better I do.

Yes in BF when I'm shooting a check six twitch is a constant.

I'm still playing Blops 2 on the Xbox 360. I haven't completed the campaign, though I have prestiged five times in multiplayer as I wanted the extra slot's. I generally play Domination / Team Death Match and have a current K/D of 0.95 and a W/L of 0.97. I tend to use the MSMC SMG with smoke grenade to capture flags and then switch to the LSAT light machine gun with thermal sight and smoke grenade to defend the flags. While Blops2 seems to favour SMG's I persevered with leveling up the SMR and FAL rifles and found them to be quite effective once you can add the full auto select and the silencer.

I'll get Ghost's after Christmas in the sales.

Hard to believe your accuracy is so similar on a mouse and gamepad, how far do you typically have to move your mouse (in inches) to turn 360 degrees?

I've been around but I let my XBL subcription lapse because all I really use my consoles for anymore is netflix and my ps3 lets me do that without a subscription.
