It's not really an issue to use the in-game payload tool - maybe you want 4 mavs not 6, or TGP on station two instead of 10 etc....have to adapt to the situation.

However, the last match of Crew's campaign I was in there was a A-10C with it's TGP on station 11 and carrying 12 mavericks! Not only is that not possible on the A-10C irl or in DCSW but it's just unfair and in poor sportsmanship.

Long story short, the missions were designed around the built in payload manager & it's setups, so going outside of that does ruin the experience, especially in H2H combat.

+1 for that mini death star though. boom

Yeah... I know I'm more stringent than some but anyone caught doing that kind of crap will be banned from the firehouse- forever... without future consideration. Ever. That's so cheesy in a sim of this nature I can't even begin to describe my disdain for that kind of crap.

So just don't do it.

Anything available through the normal interface is fair game. Short and long slots will be available for those who like the longer flight in versus those who like to get right into it. Please note, however, that there is a balance between "getting into it" and making your aircraft disposable. Guys using up their weapons just to dump the plane and load into a new aircraft aren't my favourite.

For NavyNuke, Nameless, and everyone else who uses TARGET, there is a way to change profiles on the fly. What I did with my DCS TARGET script for Cougar was create a single DCS World master script (DCS World.tmc), and then include individual TMC files as profiles that can be called on the fly by DCS World.tmc. I use the stick S3 button along with a MFD OSB TEMPO'd for 2 seconds to enable a new profile, then TG1 to enable it or S1 to cancel the change. In addition to having a single FC3/Su-25T profile (no hot-swapping required) I have a swappable A-10C profile and a DirectX profile which you can work your own lua files to work for any aircraft. My Ka-50 profile is currently in the works.

I know you're using the Hog, but it shouldn't be too hard to convert, and the logic will work with any TARGET compatible device.

EDIT: the point of this post was to illustrate how hot-swapping profiles can be done, but if you do wish to convert my entire profile, please be sure not to directly map DX29-DX32. DX29 is reserved for differential braking, and DX30-32 are reserved as modifiers (which is how I was able to get around the 32 button limit and add both MFDs to the profile).

The average naval aviator, despite the sometimes swaggering exterior, is very much capable of such feelings as love, affection, intimacy, and caring. These feelings just don't involve anyone else.

It is 1300 MST -- in about three hours I will start the S'paign campaign. If, by chance, the server hiccups, we will restart the current mission in the campaign. Unless it was really really close to being won by one side.

Plan to use the SimHQ TS server for tonight, Friday.

Thanks WC - will be online and ready (glad it's a grey & rainy day here in Sydney otherwise I'd be torn between being outside in the Sun or inside)
