Started on its defuse textures. Gives a better idea than just normal maps. GOT to get that .50cal finished here soon. Its my old one you see in sabow unofficial patch and in GTOS DLC'c BUT its getting a FACE LIFT. Also this is a somewhat lower poly one than I intend to stick in as a playable in sabow. IF it gets that far and works right. If it fails as a playable I guess will end up just an ai vehicle. I really hope that does not happen. Another playable flop and I kill small fuzzy things. another one without colored lights from the model viewer.

you doing great with this new models for sabow/apos.. but you are the only person who can/has created user made campaigns with the editor for sabow! You should use the units who are in the game and make new campaigns ore alternative campaigns for sabow/apos because that is what mostly needed for longtime fans like me who played i.E. rakitnoye campaign 20 times

WIth APOS I have little desire..... every 2 or 3 months we get a new DLC. LOL And as far as APOS goes if I do a campaign it would be for north africa IF i ever get the kinks out of that project. With SABOW needs new maps BADLY for the vet players... But that simply is not going to happen unless something crazy happens. Like it gets green lighted on Steam OR UIG stops being insane. So this I can do NOW. which is why I am. Who knows. maybe this company commander in a jeep thing might actually be real good and fun. ANd somebody throws money at me. Well Graviteam too as it is their game engine. Ya not vary bloody likely. Well who knows what can happen. Probably me just finally taking all my stuff and trying to get a 3d modeling job. I just get tripped up with trying to do stuff like this.

Todays work so far.. Getting the base defuse complete. Nearly have the gauges done. Which I will have to DO AGAIN for the high poly bit for sabow. Anyone remember the opening bit of the TV series A team? When the modified m38a1 with a role bar goes flying? Cause all of the sudden I am humming the theme song. Man this is taking SO much longer than I ever thought. This better LOOK DAMNED SEXY sitting next to the M60 MBT.

I am new to GTOS...can this model be used directly in APOS? Are there other custom models used in SABOW that can be used in GTOS?
btw, great work. It is the same engine. Right this second this is in SABOW. But a lot of my stuff is already in GTOS DLC's OR unofficial sabow patch. F5E, G3 rifle, m2hb MG are IN the former. My replacement m113s are in Isabow but only used the missions I did. My mod. I mean to get around to updating my m113 and sticking into GTOS but I got distracted by the m38a1 here. M38a1 will likely make its way sooner or later into GTOS. In short I have a habit of giving crap I make to Graviteam. Here are some silly OH CRAP issues of the WIP m38a1's. The m106a1 is mine too. Just in Isabow mod. I really need to redo these to a better level. Well got stuff to fix... I love the front tires. SIGH. And need figure out what went wrong on my base normal maps.

Well running into the same stupid issues with making this USer useable. Doing this blind with no clue about what config does what and why. So as to playable chieftain or olifant.... Not really sure. I have thought about it some obviously. Like trying to make playable with no interior or just fake blacked out inside. BUT we run into again the simple fact I have NO clue what half the config stuff does. SO while I have the skill to make the model and texture parts......I simply am blind with the playable vehicle stuff. I was really hoping this little project might help out but UGH! RIght now totally frustrated. I wasted the afternoon in crash O rama.
in fact this moment how I got the m113 and the sho't gol even half working is truelly amazing. A lot with the m113 was figured out by Krabb.
As to why I have NO problem bringing in fully working ai vehicles with no problems just throws salt in the wound. It is just 1 more config file that makes it playable. With a few things in a cocpit mesh. UGH!@@!@!
I guess I complete the m38a1's as ai vehicles for NOW. Give one last go when they are complete. If graviteam EVER makes a sim again (OH PLEASE DO!) I hope they make this process a bit more easy. I know a lot of the values in the config are coming from some sort of utility as no human can really work with these odd ball values and have any idea what they do.
Because if I could get this stuff working........ I would seriously consider making a fully working tank like an m48 or m4 Sherman. WHY those you ask? Because there is SO much info wtf they look like on the insides. Same with t55 or even some marks of centurion. Right now I am considering jumping engines to work in. I am currently learning unreal slowly.........NOT exactly a good choice at all for tanks. And arma is still borked on tanks. But both are ok for light vehicles. So annoying! rant over.

Me too. I ran into issues again with playable. But I would still call it stalled and not dead yet. It is floating around the back of my mind. WORST case is an ai vic. But right now I need to get back to the KV1 for the Red Orchestra vehicle mod team. Once I clear that I see where to go next. In my dream world.. Graviteam becomes a BIG player and they need a crazy model/texture guy. HMMM ya. LOL I really do love what they do and how they do it.
