Would liked to have been able to make it there for the public part of their reunion.

How can they be sure it's the last time the survivors toast those that have gone before them?

Are they going to execute these guys, or was there some pact that if they survived to 2013 they'd commit group suicide?

I guess I'm missing something.

So, wait a second - the idea was for the last two to toast, but now they've decided that four is the right number for the Last Toast.

It's still not clear to me how they'll enforce it.

If the plan was to ensure the last toast reunion was by the last two standing, the only way to ensure it would really be the Last Toast was a Thunderdome situation - two survivors enter, one survivor leaves. Otherwise they might meet secretly and have a toast to their comrades.

Now with four I guess they're going to pull a Jonestown.

The only way to prevent the toasting of the raid by a survivor is to have no survivors.

Ach, I'm pulling your leg.

It's not the last toast. It's the last formal ceremony.

Nothing to keep them from meeting and hoisting a few for their lost comrades.

Wife and I were there for the 70th reunion in 2012; couldn't even get near them during the day we were there. Stinks, because of work we missed the big flyover by a day, 19 B-25s.

Side note: The museum is now too big to see in one day and they are adding another new section.

Terry.

I visited the musieum while in the United States this fall. It was very good. I saw the Raiders exhibit and the goblets. God Bless these men. Their courage ranks with the best of the war.
