crew/eno... do you know if there is anyway for admin to remove those planes that have been ending up deserted in the middle of taxiways/runways? IE.. sometimes we'll see one sit there an entire mission because someone unwittingly jumped in an a10-a, and then switch to the a10-c

this is a server side fix that i assume needs to be implemented into the mission script, right?

maybe a dumb idea... but until the script is uploaded/tested, is there any reason for those of us server admins to not just blow those aircraft up?

Hmmmm, well it's really an easy fix... In my next run of updates I'll add the script. Should have done it two weeks ago or so.

Laughed my butt off tonite -- raven and I were flying the Huey for the last week in Huey Apocalypse. I got home from work and raven tells me he got the pilot's targeting site to drop down by pressing the lever. We've been wondering how to do that... jumping around into the 2, 3, 4 views and pressing 'm' LOL

So I says to raven, maybe it's time to read the manual biggrin

Great post Gordo. I love those videos. Had a blast last night.

One thing I noticed when using the laser for rockets, the pipper bounce was horrible I guess this is the first time I have used the laser with rockets in a Mountainous region.

I also noticed upon leaving almost everyone had lost 1 aircraft sometime thru the night... I was the only one that lost 4... LOL. The Highlight of the evening was when Rider, Meig (spelling), and I took on the Buks to the south. I was rolling in on the BUK and had just got within range with a S-8KOM rockets and was getting ready to unleash when the target I was focusing on suddenly exploded. Evidentally Blindone had got a Maverick in on him.

Last night was awesome to fly... Multiple roles for the A10-C's, SU25's busting down radar threats, JTAC, hidden Strelas, enemy tanks and convoys stopping for nothing and no-one... It brought back a sense of excitement I haven't felt for a while... (probably since MOL and I successfully took out our first SA300 site together).

We had some really well coordinated strikes through JTAC. It got pretty stressful when those T-72's were sprinting down the home stretch toward Sochi airfield. Gordo was busting green smoke, talking us on target... Eno, Wesley and myself all in A10-C's tasking as CAS trying to eliminate the hostile threats close to friendlies. phew! Rider and MOL were impressive as SEAD units. I thought MOL was going to 'lose it' after the 2 flights that ended in him being shot down by the hidden Strelas within 5 minutes of departure. It was a tough challenge, but in the end one of the best nights of DCS I've been part of.

Awesome post Gordo. GREAT job on the changes ENO.

Yeah when the T-72 was driving across Gordo's lap was very exciting... When he said he was going to have to start taking a few shots... I began to turn just a little tighter. I really heard his voice start to sound somewhat stressed.

Oh and from here on out... S-25L missiles will not be fired at moving objects. I fired 4 and only hit 1 T-72

I remember that Blindone. That SA300 site Occupied four or five evenings if I remember correctly.

Love Def Leppard! Been wanting to make sort of a highlight reel video for a long time... I just need to sit down with the mission editor long enough to do it. Also need some cockpit footage from the other aircraft doing startups and target acquisition.

I am struggling to leave EB+D alone so that I don't break anything but have made a couple changes:

1) Added the empty AI kicking script discussed earlier.
2) Added a time limit between waves in the event the attack stalls because a unit fails to engage.
3) Added an incentive to getting the base personnel off base soon as possible (early activation of Russian reinforcements)...
4) Adjusted some speeds and spacings- moved some stuff around.

Generally left it as is. When the teleport to random zone works more reliably I'll be able to truly randomize the various forces- but that'll have to wait a bit.

That was definitely a great night! Thanks Gordo for the great work as a JTAC and for adding me to the highlight reel! I immediately recognized my own aircraft by the payloads and CMS profile. I ought to be able to work out the issues I was having with controls - still getting used to it. Remember - I'm flying with an Xbox controller! To give you an idea here's my layout:

Aswell, the main keyboard is re-assigned the to the CDU along with the top row numbers. Master mode is assigned at Rshift-M. CMS is on the arrow keys with the Z-axis for it on RCtrl+Down. The coolie hat is RShift+(Arrows).

I'd like to assign the throttle to the triggers, however, it would go to 50% every time I take my hands off. Bad both in air and on ground. I'd like to see if I can have it work like a button with a trigger moving throttle up and the other down - but releasing either having no effect.

The HOTAS Warthog is on it's way, however!

On another note- made some adjustments to Georgia Peach Pit as well...

1) Adjusted the skins on the Hueys.
2) Attempted to limit UN Choppers ability to bring munitions while preserving their privileges.
3) Tightened up the timings to make things happen a bit more quickly and evenly.
4) Added some events that I read about occurring in Kosovo- to add some colour to the mission and the background of the story.
5) Adjusted the convoys to less conspicuous arrangements... sometimes only 1 or two vehicles. (I know, not really a convoy then but they can still be "suspicious")

Important to note- we are not authorized to destroy the civilian vehicles... though we can destroy the military targets they are attending or traveling back and forth between.

I did not know this, but the TM Warthog stick is available separately -
http://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-HOTAS...;keywords=hotas

But the Throttle is the tour de force! For the A-10C.

Well if that's your response to the controller - then let me show you around the office!

And from the hot seat:

It has all been setup quickly in the unfinished basement - which is due for renovation.
The binder contains printed copies of the DCS: A-10C (PARTIAL!), DCS: Combined Arms and slmod manuals.

Shahdoh - haven't seen a need for it to do it's job yet. The only time we needed it that I was there for was right before he added it to the mission.

Eno - We did claim victory in eastbound & down, the mission said it would reset in 15 minutes but never did. Aswell, if we keep having Gordo in their as a JTAC then you can up the difficulty! Having him there is outstanding. Really makes the mission!
